recently got a puppy and my older dog is getting more adjusted. my new puppy is very hyper and wants to play play play with older dog. i am working with her on staying calm especially behind a pen and she is gettign better but still so energized when she sees my older pup. we have a big backyard and that's were i let them interact. they have played before. but i am doing it in short bursts. this vid helps some. thanks. but she just wants to play play play and my older dog actually wants to as well. but isn't down for just getting jumped on first thing in the morn. i know slack leash is beter but i noticed u had very tense leash at certain times which is a bit confusing.

I have learned this by trial and error. My puppy gets so excited and he just pulls. I've learned not to force introduction right away. Also learned to walk tje opposite direction to calm .y puppy to teach him that he will not get rewarded greeting others this way. It's a lot of work!!!
Wish I've had watch your video before I introduce my puppy to my 5-year-old dog. The puppy got bit in the shoulder (not too dep, no bleeding). Should I redo the introduction more slowly like what you showed? The puppy is quite scare of the old dog but when I got them out for a walk, the puppy get hyped again and try to charge into the old dog.

Maybe a silly question but what if the pup is not fully vaxxed yet? I know they shouldn't go outside besides their backyard/home until they're fully vaxxed. So a neutral place may be impossible for me to introduce my Golden male pup to my female Corgi… Maybe best to introduce them in the backyard? I don't think my Corgi is too territorial of the backyard. Either that or maybe let her sniff him while he's inside the crate?

Hi there, if anyone could help it would be great! I have 2 older Chihuahua mixes age 9 and 7, my friend got a new puppy who is a Papillion/Chihuahua mix and is a smaller dog. I was not able to get them to meet slow and was thrown into a situation where I had to take the puppy because my friend ended up not caring for her the way he should. My dogs don't like her, one tolerates her and doesn't mind her giving him kisses or playing gently, but he does NOT like it when it's a bit of open mouth and muzzle grabbing play and I have no idea how to stop her from doing it because my dog is trying to not engage and she terrorizes him sometimes lol. All of the things in this video, I couldn't do and I fear after a year of having them all together that I may not be able to fix this so they all can get along. There are a lot of other issues also but I won't list them here. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Recently my husband found a small breed puppy and we are trying to nurse it back to health. Is there anything I can do to help my female transition into having the other puppy around? 🥺
If I’m keeping the dogs mostly separate, am I leaving the puppy in a crate most of the time? I’m worried about my older dog getting jealous or even possessive over things like dog beds. But puppies need a lot of attention so I’m not sure how I can split my time between the two if I’m keeping interactions so short? I have a one bedroom house so the puppy is in the bedroom and the older dog is out in the living room for the most part during the day

I have a 5 month old 50lb XL Bully I’ve tried multiple times letting him play with a older bigger pitbull who is very friendly and my dog especially now that he’s gotten bigger was so aggressive he bullies a 3 year old 80lb pitbull. But when it comes to ppl young and old he will just lick you to death what can I do??

Hi! Omg your dog blue ivy is amazingly good ! I rescued a male PitBull he is about 3 yrs old he is the sweetest thing, he can be reactive. Recently, I also had to take in my brothers dog which is a 6 month female PitBull I have tried to get them to meet but they are both so high energy. I recently did get my male pit neutered and that has helped some but he just seems so overwhelmed he’s not aggressive just like so excited and he doesn’t know what to do. Side note: My 3 yr old male was rescued from a dog fighting situation and he was in bad shape when I first got him they cut his tail and he was very scared He would flatten to the ground over just about everything, so he has come a long way and I’ve had him for about a year he also has been the only dog until now. I’m going to follow your tips and advice 🙏🏻 it works. Thanks ! ☺️

I do have the separated in the house, so the pup isnt invading my older (5yo) dog. But some situations are more difficult.
