“They have a lot to fix” no man, that’s the wrong way to look at it. This shit should’ve already BEEN fixed. How long did it take to develop this game, a year or two? More? There is no good reason for it to release in this state. Raise your fucking standards. This shit will only get worse because people like you forgive and forget. Hold the companies that release unfinished games accountable

To each their own but for me, the writing and Frey specifically, were awful and that's the main selling point for a game like this for me. The pacing, writing things in a way that makes it stupid, for example, the bag in the fire, instead of having her say "No, I'm gonna leave the money in this flaming room while I look for my cat" maybe just have her wake up to find the money already burning or stolen by the arsonists, the way they did it made it dumb, it happens a lot and kills the immersion. And even, spoilers, Frey being a dick the entire game, she flat put told that girl F her, F that world, she doesn't care if they all die, with her whole chest only to then play sympathetic like "I always try to help and it goes wrong", "Can I just do one thing for myself" when we've watched her only care about herself the entire game. Even the "twist" villain misses because it was very obvious and Frey comes off like a self absorbed idiot that doesn't listen when she suddenly can't use her powers or many other things that she's been told point blank and just seems to ignore. It's very grating, and then the quips, they're very bad. The actress playing Frey is not a bad actress in general but she cannot deliver comedy, it makes the bad jokes even more cringe and then on top of that, her and cuff are so shady to each other, only having spoken for like 2 minutes just making them both come off rude and insufferable. The writing for me, is the black hole dragging the entire game down. If she wasn't a quip machine and was made to be less selfish, the actress could have been great but she gets so many lines she cannot deliver.
Forspoken is a decent game for 25$ yeah and a terrible one for 70$
the poor optimization and copy paste hollow side quests in an empty open world that doesn't have a whole lot of variation in its environment or biome are what ended up making me decide not to get this. Hopefully Final Fantasy 16 is better.
