Game was amazing graphically and okish gameplay wise, until I had to fucking solve baby "puzzles" with fucking crystals and the game wanted me to backtrack a whole fucking section for no other reason than artificially inflate the duration. I quit and bought lies of P, don't like being bullshited.

this game is far from having bad combat lol you can't make combos together doesn't make it a bad combo the game wants you to think fast and do combos with no breaks in between which makes sense when it's kratos fighting

When I look at this game, nothing attracts me to it. So I feel really disassociated from the masses.
It looks like a Tomb Raider game in a way, minus the tombs. Everything scripted, combat, etc.
I remember the old God of War games set in Ancient Greece where you just butchered people, seemed more fun.
Frankly after playing games like Nioh or Dark Souls, I have trouble playing games where the combat seems so basic and only there as a scripted afterthought.
If the combat was more brutal and the game overall less "rated everyone console game", like a souls game, I would like it.
And the story does nothing for me, as a mythology enthusiast. A man beating the Gods, becoming God of War, then destroying the Nordic Gods, kind of makes no sense to me and cheapens the Gods. I guess they did it for making a cool story where you feel badass but it feels just dumb.
Basically it looks like those XBOX games but made with modern graphics. After Dark Souls and Demon's souls and Nioh, I don't feel interested.
The game is not perfect but I enjoyed the game. Yeah the combat is somehow not great especially the camera is to near the back of the character. The controls are the same. Some of the puzzles are just to annoying and can take your time solving instead of progressing through the game. Last is the rpg elements wherein you can equip enchantments, runics, and etc make it somehow confusing especially at the beginning since you can equip a lot of it to different slots. Overall the story and gameplay is nice. Just wish games don't lean too much on cutscenes and cinematics because it takes away the engagement in the game and make you just watch.
You should replay the game on pc its a hole new expereince

As someone who just platinumed this a week ago I can say this must be the most accurate review on how I found the game. Definitely has its issues, but it is still an enjoyable game. Thank you.

i recently got this game, looks amazing, spectacular like the other games but the combat is soo boring. the forced no running/ only walking parts makes little sense, if any. truth be told change in life is good. and i get its for another audience. but this isn't god of war, its some god of war skin with a generic action rpg adventure. as i say, looks amazing. playing it is just boring.
