I agree wit ya bruh this game was awesome now I did get the game a month later on January. So they already fixed stuff I beat the game twice on normal and new game plus I might play maximum security
Couldn't agree more man, game is amazing. 9+ out of 10 easy.
It's always the small youtubers talking facts
just got this as a recommend and liked your review. Subscribing
Ya nah sayin?
I remember that falling Parr. It was the first I've done in awhile. I died four times in a row before beating that falling part.
Still, I agree with what you said. I think personally I give The Callisto Protocol a solid 8 out of 10
On what system you play bro? Series x?
Totally agree
Great review. You nailed it. Every thing I thought. I enjoyed the graphics and story line. Felt the same way about the combat. But too short to beat it for $70 USA, ($89 in CAD). I beat it in 10.3 hours I think.
Each to there own, personally probably the most boring trash game I've played in recent memory.
This is my number one game right now. A total blast! Great video-thanks
hahaha I just beat it on PS5 feel bad for you guys cause we never had any issues with crashes.
What I don't understand is that Jacob was able to survive the atmosphere of Callisto without a suit when the security bots cut his ship open. He also was just wearing a mask when being escorted from his ship to the prison. The rest of his body would have been exposed to the elements. The average surface temperature of Callisto is -139C. How didn't he freeze?
Bro.. I love the Callisto Protocol.. Great Review man .. Check out my take on the game.. I have it on Steam Via The Steam Deck. I went off as well.
Yes…yes…we know what you mean..
Super punch out vibes! You’re so right. However, I’ve not played the game yet. I have a copy but want to finish god of war first.
In regards to your point concerning the game's length versus the price, I'd make the argument the game was too short regardless of price. The narrative pacing was all over the place. You'd have long extended sections where the plot/character development isn't being driven forward in the slightest and other moments where characters seem to have created fully fledged bonds over the span of a few seconds. Not to mention the world building being minimal at best.
I'm of the opinion that a game should only be as long as it needs to be in order to effectively get its narrative across to its audience, otherwise it will feel padded or rushed.
I haven't beat the game yet, but it started great (PS5). I quit playing fairly early on because the performance was ruining the game for me. Specifically the part where you have to "power up" some spinning machinery and waves of enemies enter the room. That was the point when I was starting to think I would sell this game. Since patch 1.07 I started playing it again. I replayed that section and it ran fine. I really like this game, but performance wasn't let me enjoy it.
It’s the most game that’s ever gamed. That’s how I reviewed it personally. Its a game. Haha! Like you said, it ain’t great, it ain’t bad….it’s a game.
Your review is on point because it's not a bad game, but there is too much nonsense with the combat. Story is non existent. Dead Space has that horror element that is just missing from this. They put so much work into the visuals and sound design, they totally forgot about the target audience. I also don't get why it's lacking puzzles, different monster designs. I also think Unreal Engine 4 has a certain look that doesn't fit this game at all. There is room for improvement, but another 3 years from now lol
Combat be making me feel like I'm getting jumped into a gang it be a 1v1 then I get hit left right up back side to side 🤣🤣🤣 love the game though it's really really good jus needs improvements
I like the game it is good in his own right it's different and I'm okay with that and since I've own the game never came across the game crashing yet tbh
This game is just garbage and anything from it is a waste.
When your surrounded why aren't you using heavy attack to push multiple ppl back? Or the low to take them off their feet?
Horror doesn't always mean scary. Why people don't know that.
Should have played it on PS5 homie
It's raw doo doo . It's f 2022 this is unacceptable
if you give a game a 9.2 out of 10 rating, then it is not "good", but rather a "great" game. "good" is a rating of 7.5/10. "average is 6/10 and anything below that is "bad"
You know what I am saying 20 times xD
I think this game is excellent in all aspects, similar how the Evil Within was excellent but alot of Fanooks were blind to the fact..,
Good honest review!!!
I agree man. I’m about 6 hours in and love it.
beside the messy op on pc this is a really awesome game and that ending <3 <3
I loooooove this game. It’s my GOTY 👌🏻
I agree 8.5 just put the aim and cam sensitivity to max
The gameplay to EASY then it will feel like normal gameplay because combat mechanics can be underwhelming when getting attacked by many enemies and its still difficult…..
The game is good
I only view for being 1k , it was 999 before me , it's an omen of good luck for your channel
Great video. Took me 15hrs to beat on my Series X and it’s my GOTY choice; granted I didn’t play every game that dropped in 2022 haha. I’m ready for this universe to be expanded over the next decade! 🎉
I'm not paying 60$ for it. Not because it's a broken mess on PC, but because I wanted something like RE4, which got me to play and love Dead Space. It looks like a budget souls like game. What kills the horror for me is not the atmosphere, but how you fight and encounter your enemies. It just looks like a joke, tbh…
I know RE4 and Dead Space are two different games, but they both had you on your feet and played it smart when you encounter your enemies.
This is a great game, didn’t live up to the hype but there is absolutely potential here and for me it has a superior feeling to dead space. The atmosphere, animations, and the oh so satisfying stomp put this game over dead space for me. The main thing they need to address is melee, fundamentally u shouldn’t be invincible in a survival horror game, it keeps the game from being as scary as it can be. Resident evil 3 remake had this exact same problem, the dodge system made u invincible. What made re2 remake so much more scary was largely due to what u were incapable of. In that game your nuts were in your ass whenever u explored because not only was the atmosphere so unsettling, but u knew that if something got near u it wouldn’t end well. In Callisto there is no feeling of inadequacy, u can LITERALLY beat every enemy with melee and not be touched. I personally like that Callisto is more of an action horror even though it was advertised as a survival horror but if they’re going to continue this path of gameplay in the sequel I’d like to see them add some difficulty to melee engagements. Maybe in the sequel introduce a stamina meter as well as a MUCH tighter window to dodge. Both melee and dodging drain the meter. When the stamina meter is exhausted u can only block which takes fractional health, perfect dodges(1 frame window) do not exhaust the meter and give u a window for a high damage counter, non perfect dodges drain stamina and gives a window for a medium damage combo. Poor dodges drain stamina, deal minor damage and only allows a counter window for one low damage hit. Also make the dodge a button press so that larger crowds are more manageable. Introduce more combat abilities, a larger map, key progression (backtracking), puzzles and unkillable enemies that hunt u like Mr. X, and u have an absolute hit.
This is glen’s first go around with striking distance so I’m gonna give them the benefit of the doubt and support their season pass, I’m excited to see this game expanded.
Lol man i just found your channel, I wish you did more reviews. Thanks for the laughs
