We recently took in a pregnant cat from the street who had 6 beautiful kittens. When we gave away the first 3 from between 9 weeks and 10 weeks she cried and got so anxious and stressed looking for them. I felt so heartbroken for her 😢 Then later we gave away another one at around 13 weeks and she barely batted an eyelid 😂 We kept 2 of them in the end to keep her company and she still checks on them and even tries to feed them sometimes 😮
Have a pregnant homeless Who gave birth at home. They are almost 4 months. She plays with Them a lot and still licks Them. Keeping the whole family.
I have a family of strays with three kittens in my neighborhood. The kittens are starting to socialize. They are about seven or eight weeks old. The mom is very friendly but the kittens are very skittish. At this point they will eat right next to me and let me pet them while they're eating, unless I make a sudden move and then they get scared and run away. I could easily grab one of them at a time but I'm afraid if I do that and take that baby to a shelter, the others will not come near me after that. Is that true or will they forget about their brother or sister quickly and reapproach me again in the name of an easy meal.
Thank you for your help. I am feeding 4 kittens and a mother all outside in pet beds. I need to get these kittens homes
Question here. A stray ran in my house and had kittens in an empty box in my bedroom. I blocked that area off (no door to the room) She has started attacking my dog & now I am afraid of her. I put her outside a little while ago. Kittens are 4 weeks old. No way to really confine mom. Cannot let her back in. Should I continue to keep them in & let them out to her when they are bigger or set them out to her now?
I feel horrible. I gave her kittens away at only 6 weeks old and it’s been about five days and she is still looking for them and crying. I feel like a failed her. When will she get over it
I have 45,yes 45 cats ! 1/2 were feral babies that were sick so we nursed them, and kept them.the outside mothers, would cry and cry for them. If there healthy we just leave them alone outside and eventually fix as many as we can. I tried to give some away and all were sickly from the stress and most died. The stress and shock of moving them lowers their immune system and sets them up to get things like fiv. It’s costing us an insane amount of money ,but we believe that God brought them into our lives and we should do whatever we can for god’s innocent little animals. It’s because of Adam and eves sin that we know live in a cursed world.man sinned and darkness came into it.the Bible says even the animals are anticipating Jesus’ return.❤..please hurry Jesys😂😢❤
I'm almost glad that it's that easy for them to let go. I'm facing doing it in a few weeks for the first time. I think it's going to be a lot harder for me than her….hopefully. I want her 2 kittens to get the best home possible. I'd love for them to be adopted together. One is black/white like her mom and the other is solid black. Being a human mother, I guess we do the same thing in a much longer period of time but stay in close touch for the rest of our lives. The animal kingdom is like the speed of light. It's sad to me, but that's all in God's plan. Wish me luck.😥
My cat follows me everywhere and hoes to the corner where the littens were and meows .
I'm not sure if she misses the last kitten we took from her or just
I put my kittens for adoption and I’m happy that there were a lot of people interested. However I was feeling uncomfortable about the thought of giving them away and the mama cat feeling lonely. Your video made me more confident about the adoptions. Mama cat will be spayed soon.
I’m so grateful for your video. I have a mother and father cat stray in my backyard. I fed the mother and father for a year and she has babies. As soon as the babies were able to walk she brought them to me back perch e we where I fed her. She stayed and slept on my patio where I made a little hit cat hut with wood. She was such a kind loving mother and would always allow her kitten to eat first. This lasted a few weeks and next thing she abandoned them. I feel heartbroken because now she won’t even eat beside her now 5 months kittens. In fact they are scared of her because she grows and swipes at them if they come near her especially during feeding time. I put five containers out food for each cat and she still growls and swipes at them. The father however is very kind to them when he comes to eat. He even allows them to finish off his portion of food. I’m talking a class from the city to be a colonist and register them with the city. They want them all
Spayed and neutered and have regular check ups at their expense. I have a cat but I think I might take the kittens in my house because I don’t want them separated. And I don’t want to see them living outside on the streets even though I feed them three times a day with water. The mother was an amazing mouse catcher because I always see here carrying the big mice 😅 and she’s so small. If you have any advice I’d be grateful to hear from you. You sir, and amazing 👍🏾
My view point only.
Long term memory.
If there is a violent separation of mother and child memories remain with mom that have to be sorted out down the line. (cat PTSD) TLC will prevail if recognized and addressed.
I've been feeding a wild mother cat who gave birth to 3 kittens. The kittens Had I infections but Had one eye opened . One by one she let them die i'm heartbroken.
I began feeding a wild pregnant cat
My cat loved life once her kittens were old enough to run around. She had some one to play with. She grew up on her own but we could see she was very lonely and was always looking for cats to play with. She made a coulpe of friends with other cats but not enough to play how she wanted. Once her kittens were old enough she would play with them out side all day. I kept all 5 kittens to give her a family she could play with when ever she wanted. The only time she may tell the to piss off would be if thay go sniffing around her back end but thay get on great till this day. Thay are only just over a year old but i think it will be that way allways. The dad is a stray but hes great hes a real family cat who plays with the kittens too. He used to lay down next to the box the mum was feeding the kittens in to keep look out. He would chase all cats away from the property to keep them safe and still allways comes around to visit and spend time with them. He lets them eat his food we give him if thay want it. Its just like a real proper little family but cats.
My cat had kittens like 3 months ago and left with her kittens havent seen her since idk what happened she had never left for more then a day and other litters she's had she has had her kittens here
Thank you, I'm caring for a mom and her litter ATM and thinking of giving them up is heartbreaking but I think more so for me then for her.
My stray cat gave birth to 2 kittens, they are now 5 weeks old unfortunately one of it's kitten is missing and we are unable to find it. The mother screams all the day to find her kitten but the kitten is gone my heart breaks to see her like that may Allah bring her kitten back to her😔😔
What ever you need to tell yourself to help you sleep at night. Reality is, you separate a child from their mother. Cats move on because they have no other choice. None of this is based on scientific studies, all I hear is anecdotal evidence from this video. There needs to be a study to show how kitten and mother cat act if reunited after a certain amount of time. I personally think adopting cats when they’re kittens is a horrible practice we humans do because its convenient.
Thanks for the advice.
Our pets in one month We collect from street at 3 AM front of kittn's Mom.

Mother cats do miss they kittens I know because my cat has to litter I put up for adoption I have house cats.
There is a feral colony in the field that is pretty bonded. We put traps out and caught a female we named Angel. The mother, Kip, went around the neighborhood looking for her. Recently, we were trying to trap some kittens and Angel went in the trap. I hadn't checked the traps. They were in the field but I knew something was up when Kip showed up at my house the next morningm Sure enough it was Angel. This mother and daughter have a strong life long bond.
THANK YOU I WAS ABOUT TO BE THE CRAZY CAT LADY BECAUSE I COULDN'T GIVE HER KIDS AWAY❤️❤️❤️
I guess we as human beings feel strange because we as good parents would never let that happen to our children
Thank you for this video it’s made it easier to part with these cute little ratbags
Mother stray cat that hangs out often in our yard still bonds with one of her offspring even though they are both adults now. They would still sleep together and groom each other and the momma cat would sometimes breastfed and bathe her daughter's kittens.
I got a cat from the shelter when she was around one year old and she must’ve had kittens because she had nipples and I think the shelter worker told me. And sometimes I feel like she’s sad and I think she misses her kittens but I guess after watching your video she probably doesn’t. I just felt bad that she was estranged from her kittens and never really got to see them much. And then was totally taken away at the shelter. That’s why I watched this video. But apparently you say it only lasts around 72 hours if they’re depressed. How people figure that out I have no idea. As cats can hide their emotions pretty well I think. Especially pain. Thanks for the video.
My poor mama cat was let outside by her first owner after having a new litter. She was so friendly that the neighbor took her in and had her fixed not knowing she belonged to their neighbor. So she was unknowingly separated from her babies right away and fixes. Then that neighbor let her outside and my Aunt’s family took her in. Then they didn’t want her anymore so she was driven 2 1/2 hours to me. I’ve had her ever since and will keep her for the rest of her life. Anyway whenever she hears kittens crying for their momma she goes searching and meows sadly scratching at the screen. She’s a sweet girl, but was moved around too much and separated from her babies too soon
man is speaking meow
I feel like humans are unique in the way of how we relate to our young. I think pretty much all other animals probably forget who their young are and eventually their children become perhaps pack members, perhaps strangers, or whatever else.
