My staffy is great on the lead. He loves to chew however, if I don't leave bones, kongs and other chew toys out for him he will chew something he isn't allowed to.
My staffie bull terrier barks uncontrollable at other dogs and people even though her tail is wagging. I've tried alot of different techniques such as distracting her with her toys but it only lasts a few moments. She was trained but not for very long she does listen to commands but not when she's at full tilt barking.
"Good with kids. But keep a very very close eye on them when around small children in case they decide to eat them…" 😳
I've got a staffy cross boxer and she loves chewing digging and jumping great info she doesn't bark though.
My husbahd and I adopted a staffy shepard mix when she was 12 weeks old. She is very energetic, loves to go in our laundry and chew on our clothes. She is now 9 months old and is jumping on us alot. I almost was knocked down twice. She doesn't mean it she just wants to play. The only thing is I'm 76 and my husband is 78. We're having a hard time calming her down. She is such a good and loveable girl. She loves people. Any Idea what to do. We just love her so much.
Staffy 😂😂😂😂 ohhhhhhhhhhhh I got Staffy crus massive
My 2 year old Staffie is always jumping up at people when they come and can knock you over especially my small grandson's,also he only seems to want hump my grandson any help very much appreciated
My Staffy is crazy and I love it!
I got a new pup, shittttt this dog possed. Can have 3 walks a day up to nearly an hour a walk. Soon as the little shit gets back he get zoomies in the garden. Sleeps it off for 20 minutes and goes hunting for stuff to destroy.
In 9 months he has destroyed: a full sofa, a wooden table, all my sons toys. 15 beds already, no joke. My older Stafford was a little shit sometimes but damn, this one litterally the Tasmanian devil 😂 getting toys in an understatement. Even if you owned a pet store, the stock would be empty next day 😂😂😂
My Staffie doesn’t bark unless it’s someone at the door.
I volunteered at a rescue pound for quite a few years and I have to say when I walked in the first to calm down was the Staffies . All the dogs got excited because they knew they would get some fuss and a two mile walk . I have to say the smaller dogs yapped more and generally where bit more of a hand full . We had many a breed but I have to say Staffies where the majority yet the best breed I came across . Love these dogs they are the best .
My staffy was a rescue and also my favourite breed my staffy was horribly abused and was never socialised with other dogs the 1st time I heard her bark was literally 2 yrs after owning her, she's beautiful, lazy ,sleepy and loving, she basically is my world,I'd be lost without her,
0:05 lol So, they began to calm down when they were old? You don't say.
Sorry but a staffie mix isn't a true Staffordshire bull terrier..my full breed staffie is as good as gold with cats, other dogs, horse's and cows or whatever we come across when out on our countryside walks.. it's called been a responsible owner and knowing what your doing and having the patience to do it. Simples ..
Hey. I enjoy your videos, very informative.
Could you tell me in common terms how much I should feed my 1yr old SFT. We 3 or 4 times a day between 40 mins to and hour
You can train them to be alone.. takes some time
My first dog was a staffy. And i raised her to the perfect dog. To bad she passed away, she made it to 13 years almost 14. And lucky i raised a new pup before she passed. But not a staffy, its a pitbull. So my pitbull pup got raised by me and my stafffy so a good raised pitbull.
honestly this applies to almost any dog. All of these problems are owner problems not breed problems. Misleading title imo.
this whole videos was me going "haha yep" to pretty much all of these.
oh i love my dog xd <3
Act before thinking is a huge understatement when they are excited or super happy 😂 apart from that this is nonsense
Got 2 6 month old English Staffordshire and great Pyrenees mix, male is 60lbs female is 50.yes they pull like a train, yes they have an insane amount of energy.stubborn my god your going to need a therapy appointment.on the other hand like husky super goofy, and mine at least are very vocal always talking and making noise.non stop zooming and even though they here you they are deaf unless it involves there favorite words or food 😂.the male is friendly with everyone but he is the ultimate fafo dog.my female well shes like a box of chocolate you never know what your goona get just no its best to be friends.i sure as hell whould not change it for the world.
Yes i have a little staffyx foster boy he likes to dig but its not that bad at the moment,he has found his little bark and like to bark at things . One problem at the moment is trying to calm him down when playing he can get aggressive and out of hand ,like it gets too much when he continues to play with my dog and they running all over my home ,ive had to put plants away my chairs he loves to chew and chew and it can be a lot. He very lovely gorgeous looking boy hes a couple of months old he goes outside to the toilet but occasionally has wee wee's on the carpet but you give it a scrub and grab a doggy cloth/matt thingy 😂 and throw it on top and it soaks it up nicely.
My staffy mix is a mostly good girl. She likes to go off into another room and start tearing something up. After knee surgery, she would do this and I couldn't get upstairs quickly to see what she was doing and make her stop. She would not come when I called her because she knew if she didn't, I'd eventually use a treat to get her to come. This ended up training her that if she stats tearing things up, she gets a treat. And that is how you lost a couch.
This post is total propaganda
I rescued a staffy a couple of months ago. He does not bark. I have only heard him bark twice. However, whoever his owner was trained him to go to door when he have to use it. He also will not go outside the room he’s in. He is a sweet loving puppy. The veterinarian said he was 8 months to 1 year old. He had heart worms which was treated with meds. His fur was damaged due to the elements. She provided spray for that. It only took a couple of weeks and looks wonderful now. Other than that he is in good health. My only concern is that he does not bark and appears to be over friendly to anyone that comes to the house. My last dog was a pit bull. Their personalities are totally different.
Absolute nonsense all dogs are the same im sick of listening with idiots
One of the smartest breeds and best breeds and this lady is seriously talking ship
This is stamina defined. You can NOT tire them out. It's impossible
The only problem with these dogs are thier owners. They are fun, active, intelligent, loyal, tenacious brats. They need love, dicipline, and play. Lots of play. I'm 66, and I still play, and interact with my boy daily. I have had many over the years. My last one did 16. Best dogs out there. IMHO. The only issues they may have is a inept owner. And believe me, I am not my friends owner. I am his friend. He is very good. I also have, now a rescued XL bully. WOW! What a weonderful boy. He will die with me, in comfort, and happines, after what I pray will be many good years. I also/we, have an 18 year old Dachshund. When you accept an animal into your home, you make a pact with them to care for them with all you are, and all you have. They did not ask to be. They do ask us to be there for them. and return it with love. I borrowed this, but" They may only be part of your world, you are their whole world" No truer statement ever made. All creatures, even the ones we are forced to eat, deserve some compassion, and comfort. Then it's on the barby. Oh well. it is what it is.
As a new Staffy/Lab cross owner I’m telling you the advice about pulling the lead is true but if this is your first time correcting this behaviour, it isn’t going to be easy and you might spend 2 hours or more just standing in the middle of the street. You have to be 10 times more stubborn then your staffy or the dog will always try and challenge you. They always push it to the limit or more. I’m a pretty stubborn person and it is so challenging to me but don’t let your staffy every feel like he/she is in charge. Positive and negative reinforcement is key! Don’t just be kind to your dog if it has dominant personality. My dog does and it is a working progress.
Barking of any dog is not good I hate it when dogs do that and it’s down to bad owners how allow this behaviour because they have no idea on how to socialise there mutts 😂😳🏴🏴🏴
Never seen a staffy bark more than one or 2 barks to notify you. They prefer to scream to get noticed.
This video is total BS I've lived with Staffies for over 50 years and as long as you are an intelligent responsible owner there will be no issues with your pup
So nearly every thing a dog is known for having problems with….
I've got 2 male STB and I know people say you're not ever allowed to have 2 males, but Sarge didn't like the female puppies at all. Instead, he was set on picking Major as his brother. I love how they love & depends on each other. They've both of very different personalities.
The walking is not fun. Not only do they pull (unless on a Halti which they HATE), but Sarge, the oldest is now highly aggressive towards other dogs & has started resource guarding with toys. The other issue is they're EXTREMELY picky eaters. Help please
my little bros staffy never barks. i think he is a talker, makes all sorts of sounds sometimes lol
My staffy barks on walks to certain bigger and smaller dogs. He barks at strangers who come near me and the house. But he is a great dog.
No mention of the biggest issue – separation anxiety.
I have my second staffie now both never showed these problems . The one i have now doesnt even bark, lol
I swear my American Pitbull must have some staff in him because he acts just like the average staffy
