This individual Eric von daniken is not an authority on vedic teachings of scripture , so his interpretations of vedas is used for his own interests ,firstly vedic scripture teaches us that there is a material universe and a spiritual universe and within this material universe there are higher sophisticated technological societies and lower technological societies and even insects and animals , but every living entity or souls that are imprisoned in a material body ( whether human,humanlike- that understands right from wrong ,animals and insects and other souls imprisoned in 'lesser' bodies are all sucesptable to birth misery and death and the bodies duration ) so what may take place in a more sophisticated technological level in some parts of the material universe may seem to the unsophisticated like heaven !
