I would suggest not using the toothbrush but the finger one they have for cats. They are more likely to allow it if you’re not doing it with a toothbrush.

I never knew I had to brush my cat’s teeth. My cat was a stray so his teeth aren’t the greatest, and they say he’s about 5 years old. Growing up with cats my parents never brushed their teeth, but I do want to do better for my baby boy and we’ll get used to it together!
With all these mouth ulcers on the rise, I’m VERY SUSPICIOUS of cat food companies maybe using harmful fillers etc! More accountability checking should be done!

i have not yet started brushing my kittens teeth yet they still have baby teeth but when i trim there nails i catch them while they are sleeping or getting ready to its so much easier so I hoping the same will happen with brushing their teeth .

Thank you for this video. I am going to start brushing my 13 week old kittens teeth frequently. hoping he accepts it and makes it easy for me. He is a really easy going kitten so I think it will go well as long as I don't rush it.
I recently adopted a cat from a rescue, and she had a persistent bad odor that I couldn't trace until I checked her mouth. I called the rescue, explained the issue, and they agreed to take her to their vet this Monday. In the meantime, I've been playing with her using a fish rod toy and started applying some cat toothpaste, which she surprisingly accepts. My other cat enjoys playing with the toothbrush but won't tolerate the toothpaste. She's a large, feral cat and hates being held or picked up.
Great video but that background music is torturous
I am so happy my cat is such a little fatty (she's a healthy weight) because if the toothpaste I use for brushing wasn't chicken flavored, she wouldn't be so excited whenever I bring out the toothbrush. She basically sees it as a second treat next to some of the yogurt I give her.
What kind of toothpaste that cat can use? Is it ok to use the same with my toothpaste? Like colgate?
