VS, I need to ask a question of someone with more game knowledge than me. I found a legendary item that had three affixes, each giving +1 to a different core skill. This strikes me as not great design; I'd rather have either 1) a single affix for a single skill and other affixes being other stuff, OR 2) three +1 skill affixes, for different tiered skills (one free, one core, and one stealth–Rogue in this case, of course). Do you have any thoughts on this concept? Is this a worthy piece of feedback/complaint for Bliz before release? Or should it acutally be "fine" to have one item giving up multiple affixes for different core skills?
Looking around various forms of social media, I've seen a lot of split opinions, some saying the nerfs took the fun out of the game so they won't buy. While others, like you and myself like that it brought some challenge back in. The previous beta really was to easy, casually rolling over everything in wt2 while fun from a power fantasy perspective, really reduces the staying power in my mind. If you can achieve power fantasy so easily, what are you chasing? I'm absolutely 1000000x more hyped for early access now after testing the nerfs out this weekend. It's absolutely made the game feel so much better to me. Love that they gave us an opportunity to test out the balance changes though, helped me to reform and solidify my day 1 plans. Still gonna be sorc day 1, that hasn't changed. But the build plan definitely shifted a bit. Regardless, it's only the beginning of the adventure, I look so forward to the changes and additions the future will bring us.
I enjoyed my time w the beta. Agree w your points snd leaning towards playing it. Big fan of the mmo aspects.

Not looking forward to getting 100% of fractured peaks for the 4th time other than that. Super excited for this one. It's easily a 10/10 for me. I know I'll be subbing 10000 hrs + into this
I played Open beta and Server Slam for a total of about 17-20 hours of actual game play. Friday of Server Slam I played 7 1/2 hours which is the most time I have spent in a game in one sitting since Diablo 2 in the early 2000s. That says a lot about how I feel about the game they gave us in Server Slam. I have been holding off buying the game to see what type of aRPG Blizzard was going to give us with D4. I agree with about 90% of your conclusions. I want more Diablo4. I am happy with where this game seems to be heading and will preorder it today.
I think the druid and barb will be much stronger when we have access to their special abilitys aka druids spirit boons and barbs arsenal ability.
Barb was not a fun trial. Had to respec him so many times. Sorc still reigned supreme in the Beta.
I will play sorc because it is my fantasy character. But the nerfs I experienced in the server slam made me very concerned that what I want to do will be a bad build.
Still won’t sway from sorc but I hope they loosen up on those nerfs.
I was 95% sure I was gonna buy D4 after the first beta and only really jumped into the Server Slam to see if the 'Server' stuff was fixed.
And, for me, it was 100% fixed. No lag or rubber banding in hubs or the open world.
Am I a little upset that they are stacking up the Battle Pass/Seasonal stuff so hard? Sure.
Do I think that said seasonal stuff will be 'worth' the cost (i.e.; getting at least 1 hour of FUN per Dollar Spent), Yes.
Now we just wait for the 1st!
If you like action rpg, and you don't think poe is the end all be all (poe been kinda trash this past year) then yeah. Buy. They should have made it free to play, but whatever, great game so far.

The game was ok but certainly not worth the announced price. It's just another hack and slash with fancy and impressive cutscenes. Is that worth 70 euro? No.
Mothers day is the 28. Diablo 4 was much easier after the changes and without legendaries. Especially the bosses. Most of them had no mechanics that I had to avoid with my barbarian. They are to easy now because some players didn't know how the skills work.

your mom's an open world event. happy mother's day…. i'm riding on 7-8 hours sleep out of the last 48, i got drunk, played all classes to 20 too. I got the Twisting blades Lego. I went in to try all the classes and pick one for launch… Based on appearances/character badass-ness and Diablo 2 my choices were simple: NECRO, BARB, maybe ROGUE. After playing them all, trying a buncha different builds…. I liked SORC (and i didn't/don't like SORC in D2) and I liked DRUID…. Glad I tried em because now I'm considering benching the necro for sorc.
