a super Mario bros movie game? with every modern 2d game and every 3d game?

Just imagine a 10 level game and multiplayer like 7 character option
What I like is the detail in the environment and background, you don’t ever see that in Mario games due to the tech limits. A RPG action adventure Mario game like this would be awesome, also if they added in weather and a day/night cycle. And it would have to have the darker worlds too, like the Ghost House. A mix of this with platforming and maybe even a few kart levels would be amazing. But one key thing I’d like to see is every level be different for once, no more of this world 1-2 crap where it looks exactly the same.
I really want an open world Mario. I wish we could explore vast and vibrant lands, buy items like the hammer or upgrade mario and his skills and fight enemies and beat cool boss fights

I definitely think the next Mario game could be open world especially with Nintendo other two big franchises Zelda and Pokemon getting the open world treatment. At the very least their try to see how fans feel about an open world Mario game.

Sooo many possibilities for an open world Mario game! What if the Mushroom Kingdom was one big template (like a Paper Mario Toad Town, but way bigger with a lot of verticality like the poster), but you could ‘dimension-hop’ at will? Let’s say Bowser or some other villain kidnapped Peach and you’re chasing them through parallel dimensions.
As you collect key items which allow you to leap dimensions, you could instantly access the ‘ice world’ version of the map, for example – so a previously impassable river freezes over and opens up new paths. In other words, one big open world but many variations
