My 9 month old GSD puppy, who is in training to be my current service dog's successor, has suddenly decided that the existence of other dogs is terrifying. If she sees or hears another dog she begins loud, booming barking. It's so bad that as we were training at Walmart last week, she lost it ON A ROLLED UP RUG. 🤦♀️ It had a fur-like texture and she was CONVINCED it was a dog. Once I got her settled and we encountered it up close, she got very excited. I think she felt silly. Lol. But this HAS been a big problem. I may try to play some dogs barking videos on my phone to get her less reactive to even just the sound first.
I have a 6 month old Pomeranian x Jack Russell. He's very vocal, likes to bark at everything that he wants. Barks when he's hungry, when he cant get to something that he wants, when his sister wont play with him, when he wants to get through the gate. Whatever he wants he tells me all about it . I ask for a behaviour and when he's calm and focused I'll reward with a treat. It generally works but what i need help with is the neighbours. He loves people, wants to be with them so when he hears any voices outside he races to the fence and is frantic, he can't listen, i just pick him up and go inside, which is a shame because I'm outside all day gardening and want him to be with me. Could you please direct me to any videos or advice . Thank you.
When my 8 week old puppy if left alone or if we do t give her attention she barks is there something we can do about that?
What about barking at our pet cats? They all want to be around us humans so separating them from seeing each other won't work.

My puppy never stops barking. Barking at noise outside. Barking at the cats. Barking at our other dog, who never barks. Barking in her crate. Barking at the neighbors dogs. Barking at the garbage truck. We are so overwhelmed and almost ready to give up and find her a new home.
I just adopted a 1 yr old bernadoodle and he barks at any adult he comes in contact with and when my husband comes to bed at night will get up and run at him barking. I’m going to try the toy method and see if that will work but any other advice?

I know you specialize in puppy training, but I find your videos applicable to my journey of fully integrating my 7 and 6 year old dog in my life. It seems like no matter the topic covered in a module – other
elements of taking care of a dog are seamlessly incorporated – e.g. grooming and using a snuffle mat (enrichment). I love that you give tips on cleaning food dispensing toys, tips to avoid bowel obstruction, etc – all the details that are extremely relevant to sustaining positive rituals with your dog on a day-to-day basis.
Today, thanks to you – I let my dogs choose their own adventure during their walk (urban environment that happened to have relatively mild pedestrian and vehicular traffic this morning) and then when we got home we shredded up some cardboard.
They’re fully passed out now. My one dog is at this very moment – as i am typing this conment out – TAIL WAGGING in his dream. Not just twitch running. First time I have, in my seven years of owning him, observed this behavior.

My pup only really barks when she's in her crate and actually needs out OR when she's very excited to go on a walk. I have had NO success teaching her to "quiet" on command and would like to.
She never barks at the doorbell and immediately goes to her crate. When she sees a truck drive up through the window, she also goes immediately to her crate. She doesn't bark at other dogs on a walk or at people.
I'm thankful to have these videos to watch every week.
