You do understand that this launch title was originally and officially released on the Wii U the switch was benefitting from the game as a launch title
just got my switch 2 today and being able to replay the best switch game in 60fps is incredible. wdym “dissapointing”

Just got this all set up! Mainly play in handheld and I must add that it seemingly seems 60fps it’s not buttery smooth like a lot of people are saying as well as the game still has the dynamic resolution scaling that the S1 version had. Which means there are times when it looks crisp.. and others where it dips to a noticeable lower quality. It’s not a solid 1080p constant resolution. Just being honest
I mean 60 fps with better res is pretty much all I wanted so, idk why it’s so disappointing lol, what did people expect?
Keen to play through this for the first time on my new 4k oled tv. Hopefully its worth the $100 here in Aus

Just bought both BOTW and TODK switch physical cartridge versions from target. I started up BOTW and I got chills just knowing this game I going to be dope AF. last Zelda I played was Ocarnia of time
I really have NO idea what people were expecting here. This is a nominal upgrade based on new hardware not a total overhaul. It wasn't hyped as a major overhaul at all. Sometimes fans really do make a rod for their own back.
This guy says the upgrade is pricey and not a great value for the money? It's $10 and brings us to 60 fps with modernized graphics! Gee willikers, bro…

Lol more than doubling the framerate and resolution while also increasing graphical fidelity and adding HDR is disappointing somehow? Does this mean that most of the Series X and PS5 versions of last gen games were also disappointing?
2020 the decade of remakes and remasters
You were able to play this game at 4 K with unlocked FPS, cheats, and graphical mods 7 years ago! On PC, charging users separately for the enhanced edition and DLC is just horrendous.
But Nintendo players can't seem to mind this behaviour is more surprising, and even the review does not highlight that. Nintendo has the ability to do so much more for this game that the modders already did on PC. There is even an RTX gameplay available, switch 2 supports it, so why didn't they add it for their own game – it would have certainly made the enhanced edition purchase make more sense.
And even more so, they don't highlight that the switch purposely locks you to 30 fps unless you upgrade. Still, they defend it.
