no bloody way phones and 3ds of all things are higher than ipad and ipad being right beside mkb
I hope nobody takes this as a serious art advice xD
4:34 nahh bro u exposed the only reason why i don't use some other better devices XD
0:21 what if i started with a phone with my fingers…
That color choice is bold and it works—would you try something like this in your own art? 💥 @JellyPink-j5o
2:10 forgot to mention softwere loky sucks
8:18 which game is this one to be specific?
As a 40yo artist, I can give my answer before your video starts:
An iPad.
And get you an used one with an Apple Pencil.
– Pressure levels and response time similar to a high end drawing tablet
– You won’t use it just for drawing
– It’ll last you a long time, as iPads don’t stop working with time the same as an iPhone
– You don’t need a PC to just start creating digital art
– Screen colors are one of the most vivid you’ll be able to create with
6:00 disclaimer, mouse and keyboard are still S tier for pixel art.
The end 🤣😭😂 😂😂
Switching from traditional to digital was the best thing i ever did lol
Got my XP PEN artist pro 24 gen 2 like 3 weeks ago and man…. i cannot praise it enough. The joy of drawing on it is indescribable. Just like the godddamn price. Holy shit. At least I already had my gaming pc so it works like a charm but I would only recommend it to people who are very serious about art. If it's your passion then it's worth it. If you are dipping toes into art, damn man just use pen and paper.
Due to the way my body works I tend to push my head forwards and screenless tablets made my neck hurt a lot, ye I was just trying to glue my head to the monitor that was a bit far away from me.
With a screen tablet I can set it up the way my neck likes and I can draw for hours with no issues.
Now, it could have been just skill issue on my part but it doesn't matter anymore. Everything works great now.
Fun fact, did you know that not eating works wonders for your waist? I didn't. Now I do.
Do you tray procreate on the iPad?
1:05 HOLY SHI-7 THATS SHOWING SKIN
11:29 i literally have not heard anything about nooks in SO LONG that i thought that it was just something my brain came up with as if it were a false memory or something, since the last time i even touched one was some time in 2011-2012(ish) before my mom got an ipad and i still remember playing the original angry birds on hers
so many ipad lovers in the comments, wow~
5:57 Maybe in first world countries, but here in Lebanon? Drawing tablets are rare or expensive(a One by Wacom tab goes between $75 to $90 and Veikk(the only other company that has "budget" options) upped their prices so an artist gotta do what an artist gotta do.
P.S. I could be wrong since I mostly search online for a tab and online shops are a scam here.
I use my switch to draw
4:34 I literally draw on my phone and my friends love my art to the point they wanna gift me a tablet. But the fact is nobody at home knows I do digital art so if i ask for one they'd be like why do you need that, pretty sure you can study with a medium sized phone or my pc
I use a like £20 screen less tablet I think it's 14, inches VIEKK
ion care what people say ipad is an S tier for me
I use iPad Pro and screen-less tablet. I also have Huion Kamvas 24 Plus but I pretty much never use it (too big and heavy to constantly put it in and out and screen quality isn't perfect, not to mention colors)If you have monitor that outclasses most of the display tablets then just go with screen-less. It takes time to adjust but after a while it's good. Super rich colors, sharp image quality (denser pixel ratio) and a beautiful 165Hz refresh-rate are unbeatable.
iPad Pro is fun because it's portable and newest gen has M4 chip which is insanely powerful. But what I don't like about iPad is that it forces you to Apple ecosystem. There is no Procreate for desktop so you either find a good matchup of app that work well together (can recreate brushes closely), buy CPS subscription (hell no), or make separate projects on iPad and desktop :/
4:15 “What kind of masochist are you?”
The kind that wants to be free😢
8:17 seems pretty average to me
Man i think the pen tablet is deserving to be S tier cause man some of it now support various screens like pc, android, iphone, and Even desk computers 😅and plus the upside of pen tablet is you are able to see the part of your hands while your drawing
Because some poeple have two skills or like two hobby like designing and gaming etc..
Me who draws on a cheap iPad with the finger
no offense, but you look like you'd draw NTR.
Just saying.
Nah theres should be a separate tier for ai
Normally, it should be around
S : Screen Tablet, Screenless Tablet
A : Ipad
B : Drawing with fingers on your phone
C : Mouse and any other tool
Anybody know what keyboard that is at 6:35
There's no way ipad is that low. There are good programs. If you look for them, procreate is great, and so is clip studio for the ipad. I'm not saying it's as good, but it's damn near close to pc, and the comfortability of the ipad and apple pencil is amazing, in my opinion.
Hahaha, brilliant punchline X'D
i use a surface bro 😭
The I pad cab be C tier
BUT A PHONE IS NOT BETTER THEN A TABLET
your rich ass would never understand what starting to draw with the cell phone feels like😔
PHONE ABOVE A TABLET?
WHAT THE FUCK
1:03 Nah, of course you only care about the ones you need to pay a fortune to use. Don't even want to watch the video after that
Alright so I actually went from using PC w/ my monitor tablet to using my iPad with Procreate for the pure convenience, but nowadays I work a lot at home and decided to migrate back to using CSP (though ngl I use my ipad as a drawing tablet because it's way higher resolution to my monitor tablet. Shoutout to easy canvas).
Although, for the longest time, I felt like Procreate was amazing and one of the best art programs out there (which, to its credit, it IS pretty good in its own right), but going back to my powerful ass PC and being able to do 100x more with it made me realize that iPad drawing truly is limited. There's limited amounts of layers, more limited resolutions, and overall a lot of the drawing apps ARE more watered down than their PC counterparts. Like sure, maybe because I have one of the older, 2021 iPad Pros, I can't quite achieve what someone with one of the newer, powerful chips can do; nothing quite beats having the processing power of a good computer and an app like CSP, Sai, or Krita for me yet, though.
So yeah, even as a iPad bootlicker for a couple years, I gotta agree that the iPad placement here is kinda right 😭😭😭
Minus8 ahh background music
putting a phone over ipad as someone who has both is just very idiotic. idc what you said about availability because most people wont have screen tablets because of how expensive it is and you put that in s tier. this is straight up bias. ipads are equivalent to paper and pencil in the mechanism of drawing, making the learning curve very low and easy to get a hang of, and the size + a pencil with pressure , and even if the apple store limits your apps, you still have a lot of good options. phone apps are way worse and its way harder to draw on them too. really stupid.
How do you know an artist hasn't tried Procreate without them explicitly saying they haven't tried Procreate
Insta dislike when displayless tablets were dissed. YOU DON'T NEED A SCREEN TO DRAW ON! It's sometimes even better. A ctl 672 with a good monitor is godlike. Good posture, no color matching hassle, amazing surface texture. The learning curve of hand eye cordination, if you used a mouse and a pen previously in your life is less than five minutes long. This video has ISSUES.
