Grim Fandango taught me how to love again
Still one of my favourite games of all time
Controversial opinion. If I were to replay either Half-life, Grim Fandango, or Metal gear solid today. I would choose Grim Fandango.
I can't hear the name of this without thinking of those movie theater commericals.
I was thinking of giving this a shot but then you said "leaps of logic" and I said NOPE.
I absolutely loved Grim Fandango. It was an amazing game back in the day. I don't think I completed it then as a kid but I certainly remember getting a good way through it.
Still my favorite PC game. Not so fun on PS4, but I knew I could never go back…
"Well, the train appears to be JUST out of your reach…."😂😂😂😂
"Today is the first day of the end of your life…."😂😂😂😂😂
"How'm I supposed to make a sale with the scumbag clients you're sending me?" "HEY!!!"
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
This game's wit is absolutely EPIC.
The puzzles in this game were convoluted, but that doesn't compare to the absolute nonsense puzzles in The Feeble Files. Still, this, that, Kings Quest VII, Torin's Passage, Monkey Island, Broken Sword and Simon the Sorcerer make up my entire childhood of point and click adventure games.
Awesome game
4:37 Thank you! Yay, my favorite show Our Flag Means Death being referenced in a vid about one of my favorite games! ❤🔥
I just finished this game last night. It is indeed a Masterpiece.
1:20 I think it's more appropiate to say it's based on mexican/mesoamerican culture and traditions. Not all latin american countries (nor spanish speaking countries for that matter) are like Mexico.
No Joke. Was still one of the best games release in the late 90's. Like, in an era of weird and wacky PC games. it was an absolute amazing hit. I cannot begin to tell people how much I wish I still had-
A. A PC with a Disk drive.
B. The old Binder full of PC disks.
There was just something magical about Lucas games and other similar things. Back when game bundle games were full of actually fun games and weren't just Trash scams.
I played a demo of this that came with a magazine. Glory days.
Great game, kinda weird to see it here lol
This game was great!
gamespot is right. those other games are some of the best, but grim fandango is art.
It’s been decades and I still haven’t beat the game. I’m 31.
You guys should totally do a vid for Final Fantasy Tactics.
The games you mentioned from 98' were so good that they transformed their parent companies into giants of the gaming industry: Konami, Square Enix, Blizzard and Valve. Just wow!
0:50 what game is this?
one of mt favorite games tbh
Thank you for spotlighting one of the greatest games of a forgotten genre! HOWEVER… You uh.. flubbed the name. You Said Calvera, It's Calavera.
I wasn’t allowed to play Grim Fandango as a kid because my dad thought it was some sort of devil worshipping black magic thing instead of a take on catholic Mexican tradition of the day of the dead.
But half life oh yeah that was fine.
But before you think about what Manny taught you, remember the lesson that history has taught us over…and over…and over again……….socialism…SUCKS!!!
Grim Fandango is legitimately better than all those other games. Way more cinematic than MGS, for as often as it's lauded as such. I'm grabbing my torch because the '98 game you neglicted to say was Ocarina of Time.
Of course I went through the game without a guide. It was 1998; where would I find guide for this gem?
I find it difficult to believe anyone cleared LucasArts Point and Clicks without help.
Like I came close with Full Throttle, but most of em, it’s not even realistic with how unintuitive multiple chunks of each title always will be.
Like your MIT joke is offbase cause I don’t even think I’d ascribe that to intelligence… if you figured out the high diving competition in Escape From Monkey Island on your own, I’m pretty sure that’s more indicative of mental illness than anything that’s get you into a STEM program.
i guess this game isnt neich anymore lol
An actually cool game choice
I wonder if they'll ever get to warframe?
This game and Conkers Bad Fur Day are 2 of the best games ever created in the history of every game in gamology
HE DID IT! THE SON OF A B DID IT!
Why dont we talk about Bruno?
Do Mario wonder
Do lies of P!!!
I've played Grim Fandango, Sam & Max Hit the Road, and Full Throttle. All great games.
Hey, my all time favourite game!
Do modern warfare 3 2023 a week or two after the official release!
I never did get around to playing this game or really learning much about it, so I greatly appreciate this revisit of a retro game. Thanks!
I've played the remastered version a few months ago, it was a game I has pending since so many years, and although some parts are kind of frustrating, it's one of the best stories I've played in SO many years!
Final fantasy tactics 🤙
thanks again
I really liked Grim Fandango. while I did have to use a guide for a couple of puzzles, it definitely isn't as obtuse as a lot of other point-and-click adventure games (especially up until that point).
Do Kerbal Space Program.
