If you've played assassin's creed, which was your first?
as a nongamer and a really casual player, i loved the mechanics of ac4, it was engaging and fun and felt like an open world i could explore having a certain guide or what I was missing, i also liked the approach it did to the brotherhood and how edward explores it.

the ones that blew me away was, Brotherhood, Black Flag, Origins. but my personal favorite is Odyssey. might be biased as i love the history surrounding ancient Greece.

Tried 1 this year but the PC port sucked so I didn't get very far. I have a copy of Black Flag downloading right now because I wanted a good pirate game, and based on these reviews I think I'll go for Unity then the RPG trilogy next.
I've had Odyssey, Origins, and Black Flag sitting in my steam library for half a year now (got them on sale) and about a month ago I finally got into trying out Odyssey because the thought of traversing ancient Greece sounded so cool to me. I'm currently 78 hours in trying to 100% it and so far it's one of my favorite games of all time, which is just making me more excited to try the other 2 games I have since I've heard those are even better.
I've played them all, very recommend to start AC Syndicate
Ezio Trilogy and Origins
Ac franchise needs to copy assassins creed unity, the full game, and then improve it from there, come up with a whole other story, and then the ac franchise will be back on track
I started with Odyssey!! Mostly because of my love for the greek world and mythology, but I LOVE open-world exploring, RPG and quests. Therefore I have never thought of Odyssey as a lesser game in the series because of the missing assassin-parts, the game Itself is perfect. I hate Layla though 😀

I just started playing like 2 days ago, I was told to start with Ezio trilogy to get a grip on the base of the game.
I started with valhalla but years before i played ac: bloodlines for few days and abandoned it except from this valhalla is the first ever ac game i took seriously. One of my uncle gifted me the game at that time i didnt know i would love this game so much, im not a real fan of ac franchise but who would ever dislike ac games
As i put my disk in and sat down to play i was already amazed by the atmosphere and story felt quite exciting and within a blink of an eye i had already spent 2 hours playing the game.
My first AC game was AC 2 man , those vibes were majestic and with one of the greatest assassin ever existed . Times when Ubisoft actually cared about us

You brought a very good point about the historical sites and the length the game producers go through to get all details as accurate as possible. I started playing right from the beginning with Altair because I am into stealth type games. But when AC 2 and Enzio came along with the historical references of Italy, it made the game a lot more enjoyable.

If you ever plan to play AC1-AC3 you need to start with AC1 or you won’t get it, if not start with Unity. You need to see what the series was about before the rpg bs
