Iirc Wukong and Erlang have a brotherly relationship from their mutual hatred for the cruelty of the gods.

So i got thiw cutscene aswell. So i got the true ending aswell. I heard if the old monkey place that headband on the destined one is considered a bad ending, as this repeats the whole story. The old monkey was working for the celestial and wants to continue to control the next wukong
