I have been fortunate to see most of the world's 100 or so most popular museums/art galleries and the V & A is my favorite. I live in California and every time I am in London, I make it a point to spend a few hours there. Why? The V & A is UNLIKE any other museum in THE world because its collection is unique (jewelry, costumes, decorative arts, as well as statues and paintings). The gorgeous building adds to the ambience too.
