Anybody still playing in 2025?

If I could have a remake of Black Flag with Unity's graphics, parkour, stealth, and combat system, I'd die a happy man. The only thing that's preventing me from liking it more than Black Flag is the story. The story in this game was mid to say the least and is hands down the worst aspect of the game. But when it comes to everything else, it's absolutely fantastic.

I found the map in unity incredibly boring… wherever you go, its just the same buildings, cityscape..its the first time i got bored exploring the world even its smaller compared to origin or odyssey. Nah, i wont say Unity is the best. Ezio series is the best and will remain the best.

I think unity would have been insanely popular in AC community if it wasn't so buggy on release. That launch just ruined the game for most ppl.

when assassin's creed unity first released, it was a buggy mess that was barely playable is why it wasn't well received but the devs stuck with it and fixed the majority of bugs and that's why it's as good as it is today. i'm doing my first actual playthrough of it because the first time, it was so buggy that i stopped playing but now, this is one of the best games i've played in a while!

How did Assassin's Creed Unity's combat go from looking stylish and snappy to Assassin's Creed Shadows' combat, where you just spam the attack button until the enemy's armor is depleted?

The parkour is good but Arno seems like a Marvel character. He’s jumping from cathedrals and grads on to a pole and swings like spider man. 😆 the game is one of the best ones for sure but Arno moves like he’s weightless.

Ac unity is a masterpiece

The game feels great and amazing NOW. But originally it was a broken nearly unplayable mess, at least that was my experience then. It had one hell of a glow up

For me Unity in AC franchise is like Hayden Christensen in SW franchise, the fans weren't ready for it back then, treated them too harsly, but after some time, with a bunch of newer titles in the franchise dropping in, they know how massively underrated and misstreated these gems were.

I wonder where those who worked on unity are now because we need them back.

The best Assassin's games are AC II and AC Unity, those really embodied the spirit of how an assassin would act and behave in its environment.

Indeed AC (the first one) is also to be mentioned.

AC IV Black Flag is by far the most complex game, cause it brings piracy, warships, migrations, conflict of nations and even though all that, it manages to incorporate the feeling, the halo, the environment of assassins and templars moving the strings, its only two errors are the scarce focus on the main charachter (the one that uses the animus) and the historical inaccuracy of leaving France out of the Caribbean equation (many don't know, due to anglo propaganda, but France's Armeé de Mer during the Sun King, Louis XIV, used to kick anglo and dutch asses, and by that time the biggest amount of buccaneers were french and the most caribbean isles were french), but still a great game.

AC III and AC Syndicate are overrated anglo-service for patriots and steampunks. With AC III began the decadence, and believe it or not Liberation saved the prestige for AC and Ubi, with Syndicate began the downfall, just a big copy of AC Unity but without the assassin spirit and with lots of accessories with nothing new valuable to the assassins table, and one character, the guy, the worst in the whole saga. 'Tis no coincidence Ubi made the softreboot after that crap.

And after that Origins saved Ubi and partially the saga, but paradoxically, Ubi licked his whiskers and condemned the saga with more rpg's… I mean, amazing, outstanding games all three of them, but not assassin games anymore.

AC Unity: the parkour, the crowd blending, the gnostic sects trying to pull the strings, the conspiracies, the freedom which it offers to the gameplay even though 'tis an enclosed Paris, the outfit specialization…

Valhalla has the best Combat

This was the last true AC game and it’s where the series peaked. The combat is excellent, the parkour is godly and they added crouching👌 The map is small but it is utilized quite well with all of the interior spaces in the game. It was a great send off for the last traditional AC game besides the bugs at launch😅

7:14 People today probably don't know or simply don't remember that this game was released pretty much broken.

This was the Cyberpunk 2077 before Cyberpunk 2077 was a thing… it got released and almost every one had horrible performance issues, people in the crowds teleporting everywhere (you can even see it here, and this is "fixed" 2:33 ) , NPC's and even the main character's avatar would basically disappear in the cutscenes, the only thing you would see are his eyes, that's not even mentioning the gameplay bugs regarding combat, parkour and stealth detection. After the release for the next year or so there were patches being released for the game as well as a couple of DLC's, but ultimately Ubisoft dropped the game entirely. Man I can only imagine what the game would be like if they actually took their time with it, it definitely needed and extra year or 2 to polish it up.

I got this game a couple of days ago and I've been really enjoying it. 100% recommend.
