Remote/Hybrid: Not available Onsite onlyWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to support advanced propulsion system development for aerospace applications. This is a Level 4 contract role designed for an experienced professional who can lead and coordinate engineering activities across multiple teams. You’ll play a key role in driving technical direction, managing requirements and risks, and applying Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies to support solid rocket propulsion systems.
Key Responsibilities:Lead the planning and execution of systems engineering efforts on major projects or project phases.Apply advanced Systems Engineering and MBSE practices to manage requirements, verification, and risk throughout the product lifecycle.Develop innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges using creative problem-solving and cross-functional coordination.Interface with engineering leadership and customer technical representatives, often across multiple organizational boundaries.Provide technical leadership to support teams ensuring cohesive project execution and alignment with program goals.
Required Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.6+ years of relevant industry experience, or 4+ years with a Masters degree.In-depth understanding of solid rocket motor fundamentals and experience supporting full product development cycles.Hands-on experience in:Requirements management (preferably with IBM Rational DOORS)Risk and opportunity managementMBSE methodologies and tools (e.g., Cameo)Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams.
