it would be really cool of they released a version with all the stuff like trees, bushes, and interiors they had to remove due to limitations of the hardware of the time. Thought im sure some of that has been added with all the online dlcs. plus with gta 6 already having a tentative release date it wouldn't make much sense to release something like that now.
My guess that those trees were never added its because ps3 and xbox360 or the hardware in genersl was too bad for thst much amount of rendering making the gsme extrmeley laggy

just a guess on the blue, it's a test of a filter on the phones camera, it could be a normal map also but it doesnt really look like one though the image is so low resolution hard to know
the blue people are most likely the normal maps of their skin textures

5:13 I'm fairly certain that's the swamp just with trees which in the final version if they were there would be dead from drowning
Lets hope on Gta 6 the vegetation we see into trailer 1 and 2 is the actual one of gameplay too, i dont think this time they have problems of devices with the Xbox Series s/x and ps5 because this time these are more powerfull than the old years.

All those alpha textures probably caused a lot of otherdraw which the ~ 20 Gb/s memory bandwidth of the consoles just couldn't handle.
I bet the salt flat area may have been the early stage of the lake north of Sandy Shores.
PS3 and Xbox 360 were made in 2006. It's kind of a shame that they were held back by that, when they could have delayed the game by a year to take advantage of PS4 and Xbox One hardware.
