Gameplay is the weakest part of the last of us series and for some reason they needed to make it the whole separate mode xD I would play it if it was somehow bonded with the story.

I think this mode also kinda ruins the realism of this game's encounters, making them spawn in waves or have weird modifiers like an arcade game is just a lot less engaging than going through a realistic environment and seeing enemies appear in realistic ways

The mode is fine, if you beat the game and don't want to go through another 20+ hours of new run, but still want to play it. I actually enjoy how the combat feels in these two games, so I don't mind a mode that focuses on combat, and you can beat the entire run in maybe half an hour.
Co-op would be nice maybe, but I can see why they didn't do it, and it kinda has to be better balanced, Ellie and Abby are beast compared to others.
Maybe someone will make a coop mod for PC

I have a different take tbh. As selfish as it is, and while I do feel bad for factions fans, I'm glad we got no return. Realistically, I really don't think we would have gotten both of them to the same standard we got no return. Personally, I don't like online pvp games. Never have, never will. As an autistic person, a big reason I play games is so I can escape from having to be around people constantly. When games have an extra mode on the side, 9 times out of 10 it's online pvp, so something like no return is heaven for me. Although, co op with one or two extra people in no return would be pretty amazing

It’s such a bad game mode. Fun at first, but after repeatedly, brutally murdering AI for a few rounds I’m over it. Depressing, same thing every run. What a ball drop
My disappointments in No Return mainly revolve around the lack of detail. For example, playing as Lev against Seraphites they'll yell at you "Wolf" but obviously Lev isn't a wolf. Another thing is some of Ellie's characters like Jesse, Tommy, and Joel all have the Wolf customisable weapon skin, which I don't understand and then vice versa for Abby's characters having the moth customisable weapon skin
This game mode has so much potential. Very limited cause once you really get your character the way you like, you’ll only have 1 or 2 more fights. We should be able to go on a NEW RUN+ more difficult and with more levels. Like imagine really working trough your character and be unbeaten for 100+ encounters, with each encounter being harder or even you be forced to go UP in difficulty for this NEW RUN+.
And then of course, some co-op and some online not focusing much on PVP but some sort of competitive game modes.
Ideally with some improvements to some characters, like example, Joel cant dodge, ok sure, but at least let him have a block melee function like in Part I he could block!!
Imagine this gamemode feeling like a Day Z true Rogue game, like days of progress with your character. At least i think Naughty Dog could see the pontential, and after PART III they give us that will last for years like this NO RETURN 2.0 Online, since PART III will be the last chapter to this game/storyline
We need a 1v1 in TLOU2. Both select a few weapons to start, then spawn in one of these maps, 20 second grace period to collect items and craft, then it’s just a battle until someone wins

I can play no return for hours and hours and won't get bored…people will just cry about stuff that isn't there but won't enjoy things which exist…or I guess they just need something everytime to blame ND!
