Title: Precise, durable workhorse of a gaming mouse
Review: The various iterations of the G502 I have owned over the years have all been extremely durable, given excellent tracking performance and offer a comprehensive level of customization. The side buttons and rocking center wheel are features I can’t live without anymore, especially since I have short pinkies and being able to re-map hard to reach keys like shift and ctrl is essential for me in PvP games.I could care less about colored LED effects, but having the logo change color to confirm the mouse is in a game profile is nice.Being able to customize weight and balance is cool as well, since I like a heavier mouse for gaming. My complaints are minor, compared to all the plus column features of this mouse:a) The customization software is not particularly intuitive, the original (pre-G HUB) programming interface was much better IMO.b) The glides don’t last anywhere near as long as the mouse …fortunately there are aftermarket replacements that are *much* better than the OEM glides.c) This mouse hates me when I’m sniping: holding right button to scope for an extended time when you have a medium sized hand makes for occasional (and always untimely) “unscope events”, where the shape of the button allows the switch to be released even with some pressure still on it. I could probably add tape or something to build up the button shape, but honestly I don’t play snipers in PvP enough to have modded it.The newest variant doesn’t have a cloth jacketed cable anymore, but so far the sheath on it seems tough and slick enough that it isn’t an issue.IMO, the G502 in all of its iterations should be in the Input Device Hall of Fame!

Title: Mostly consistent with older G502 models
Review: I first started using the G502 when I bought one of the OG ones in 2015. I’ve used that one for the past decade — best mouse for gaming and work I’ve ever had. In the past few weeks the scroll wheel had started to skip a bit, so I decided to bite the bullet and get a replacement. In almost every regard the G502 Hero I got is the exact same excellent product. I only have two gripes:1. The original G502 had a pretty beefy braided fabric cable sheath. It was excellent for prolonging the cable’s lifespan — after a decade of daily use the fabric had frayed a little, but was still intact. The G502 Hero has a very thin, rubber-sheathed cable which I’m certain will not hold up as well to regular use.2. On the original G502, the DPI interval indicator lights would stay illuminated at all times. This was an excellent bit of functionality that let you tell which one you were on at a glance, even if you couldn’t test it (e.g. if you were holding a peek and didn’t want to wiggle your mouse). The G502 Hero only illuminates them for a few seconds after switching between settings. On the whole, though, it’s still the best gaming mouse on the market.

Title: The King.
Review: My favorite mouse. I use it for FPS pretty much exclusively. Some doodads I appreciate:- I have small hands but I can still comfortably hold the whole thing in a claw or palm grip. My hand rests mostly on the right side of the mouse, so I would have to switch my hand position if I wanted to use the sniper button. This isn’t really a problem for me because I think the sniper button (and switchable DPI in general) encourage bad habits.- I dig the little flared thumb shelf so my thumb isn’t dragging on the mousepad and messing with my flow or whatever. I feel like I get a bit better control with the shelf, with my thumb resting on top instead of trying to grip the side. This gives you the most relaxed hand position possible, which (probably) helps you build good habits.- It’s reliable and it just works. Before this, I had a Deathadder which started double-clicking less than a year after I got it. I switched to the G502 nearly a decade ago and I’ve never had issues with double-clicking issues or dead switches in all that time.- The unlocking scroll wheel is great for scrolling through 40 pages of Terms & Conditions in record time.I’ve just been super happy with this mouse. I think there are newer G502 models at this point but I really dig this one because the design is nearly unchanged after 10 years and I just really like the shape and how this specific one feels. Highly recommended.

Title: The Goat (really good mouse)
Review: There’s so many features I like about this mouse such as it can switch from fly wheel to technical, so I can both serious gaming and also have the flywheel to scroll through my research appears really fast. There’s weights that come with the mouse so it can have great density and weight. The RGB is nice and it works with signal RGB to both program the 5 side buttons which fit with your hand unlike the corsair mouses and the lights. The mouse even works with voice mod for silly sound effects on a game when I press one of the Side buttons. It is a wired mouse but for my desktop build its more than fine, and the size of the mouse just rests in your hand not too big or small. But the best part of the mouse is how affordable it is, I got this mouse for $40 and its amazing. Here is a list of games where this mouse comes in clutch: Rainbow Six Siege, Roblox, Minecraft, Fallout 4, Cyberpunk, Forza 5, War Thunder, World Of Tanks, Repo and Lock Down Protocol.

Title: The features are great, the durability is not
Review: First let’s start with the positives: This mouse feels great in the hand. I also really appreciate the ability to change the weight of it – helpful and innovative. The scroll wheel feels great and the ability to change how it scrolls is cool, plus the button layout is excellent. All of that being said, this mouse only lasted me about 2 and a half years before the main left click button started having problems. I tried everything to get it to work again – used compressed air and fully disassembled it and cleaned out the chassis. It didn’t matter – there’s something mechanically wrong with the left button. For a highly rated gaming mouse I expected better durability. That said, for the price it’s still very decent.

Review: I’ve been using mice for the better part of three decades. From the bleeding edge 2001 Intellimouse to the cheap you-really-need-a-mouse-right-now 5$ mouse made in parts unknown you grab at your local corner store.Of course, I haven’t tried every mouse in the market. That’s be insane and I’m not quite there yet.Still, I cannot help but recommend this mouse whenever someone I know is in the market for a new device. It feels nice in the hand, the weights you can add or remove are really helping here, especially if you have rather large hands like I do. The many added buttons don’t feel out of place, all easy to reach. The GHub program, although it gets lots of heat depending on the current version, still does the work really well. Making it easy to customize the mouse to your liking, whether it be DPI settings to adding macros. My favorite part of the mouse is purely mechanical. It’s the little button under the wheel that switches it from smooth perpetual roll to a more crispy, clanky one.I’ve had this mouse for three years now and it still works perfectly. The rubbery parts are starting to show wear and tear, but it has no impact on the functionality of the thing. No matter if you’re a gamer, work with your PC or just a casual computer user, don’t stay on the fence if you need a new mouse. This is the one.

Review: It’s truly an amazing gaming mouse. The response time, how it fits in the hand, and the build quality are all excellent. I don’t think I could use another mouse after this one. If it ever breaks, I’ll definitely buy the same model again. Totally worth the price!
