I'm actually now realizing, did Margo not have kids? If they succeeded, how would they continue to hold back the demon if the curse travels "from mother to daughter"? I'm pretty sure there's a creepy pasta that's almost based on the same thing.. Cabin in the woods? Maybe, it's about a young man who's caught in a loop. He's a computer tech who ends up coming out to their property to hook them up with the interwebs.. Turns out he ends up being connected to them in one way or another. It's seriously almost the same story 😂 just with a dude, & a few minor details but same concept nonetheless.. Great story, love MrCreepyPasta

This is really my favorite movie of the paranormal series and one of my all time favorites. It deviates completely from the usual paranormal formula. And it’s a great take on a religious cult.
It seems theres some confusion. Asmodeus isnt a new demon. Tobi and Asmodeus are the same demon and its explained in some of the older PA's. Asmodeus is from the book of Tobit and its said by some of the characters of the series that knowing a demons name gives power over it so Asmodeus goes by tobi.
What disconnects this entry to the series is motivation. This PA focuses on keeping Asmodeus from returning and causing pain and calamity whereas the others were more of showing the steps to bring him back.
To add on for those wondering how it fits. It doesnt, and i dont think this entry was meant to be apart of the story. Its essentially the same demon but a different mythology and a different universe. In both universes asmodeus is pulling the strings.

Ahhh yes the old philosophical principle which life is more important. The most important thing is chaos. At some point is going to happen plus if they believe in god or Jesus. In the movie the demon would have suddenly surrendered to Jesus Christ right there. If the characters had some faith or some crazy past where the stop believing became of xyz. Would have been cool to see Angel coming down to smite a demon into submission. On this style of film making.

I think the franchise should be rebooted…HEAR ME OUT. The first 3 movies should follow the same story as it already is but instead of the 4th movie taking place the 5th movie would follow. The 6th movie would be entirely different, no new family being introduced again, no new house built where the sisters house used to be, instead it would focus on the connection of the first 3 movies and the 5th movie. The story was just messy at the end and it was a underwhelming ending to the franchise. It would made more sense for the 6th movie to take place following the events of the 5th movie. This movie would be it’s own stand alone movie from that story since it involved a different demon and family
Was giving up Margot worth it to contain Asmodeus? No the cult was using up her family to contain a demon that can be dealt with which is why Sarah gave up Margot to keep her alive. What if Margot's family didn't birth any more females other than Margot? Margot would just end up like Sarah and Asmodeus would eventually be set free if the cult didn't think of a solution. Also it was Chris that broke the salt barrier so it's kind of his fault that Asmodeus was freed.

CZsWorld actually brought up a good idea for a potential sequel. Maybe Margo is destined to fight Hunter in order to stop Asmodius whom most of us agree is Tobi. If Hunter and Leila found their way back to the present after Tobi’s resurrection, they both be 16 by time of next of kin. In two more years they would be 18 where Hunter can be initiated as one of the mark ones. Leila probably become one of the midwives.
Here’s a thought. We know Toby is Asmodius, and we know that fake Amish group in Next of Kin captured Toby. Maybe they caught Toby after he got his form in the 80s and something happened to his physical form in the process. It wouldn’t be the first time movie producers and crew went more scyfy than what is considered real life paranormal. Heck maybe the fact Asmodius didn’t leave from Samuel’s body to take over one of the cops means Samuel was Asmodius’ vessel created using Leila’s and Hunter’s blood

I thought the demon in this was Toby and we see Toby get an actual body at the end. I just watched all of these back to back over the last 2 days ending with this. So that’s not Toby? The last one opened up time travel and all kinds of foolishness. Couldn’t this be Toby final getting what he wants? Couldn’t this be the same cult that Katie’s mom is involved in? They also say Toby has several names. Anything could have happed between the open ending of the last and this one. This isn’t “Toby”?
I really enjoyed this one. It definitely has the best final arc of any paranormal activity movie. I also liked the combination of found footage and traditional camera work. My only issue is that the movie doesn’t follow its own rules sometimes. If the demon is trapped inside Sarah in the cave, what was the spirit that attacked and possessed Margot? Is she still under the demon’s influence or did her leaving the farm cancel it out? Just a couple of questionable plot holes, but this is my second favorite PA movie next to The Marked Ones
Final show down Asmodeus vs. Tobi. The demon made flesh vs. The demon possessed meat. Who will win? Be there or be squared.
