Talking to much…
Cooper is food motivated 😂
Yes, we just rescued a GSP with strong smell hunting skills. This is very important and i hope we can implement it . She is guessed to be 1 to 1.5
Opinion on practicing this with a 5yr old dog that is super distracted?
Damn dude you're a freaking gangster
What about when you go to get them? And they run away from you?
But what if my pup comes half way, and when I try to approach him he start running away like I cannot even touch him😢
What do you do if they run when you have to go get them?
This is great training! I’m going to implement this with my boy. Mine DO hear the deep rumble of a truck and run to the door waiting on their dad lol
I make a special whistle (just regular whistling 😗 – I don’t carry around a physical whistle). I found this to be extremely effective for my dogs. They can hear it from a long distance and it doesn’t ever get lost amongst other voices.
My dog is 4,5 years old. He is a standard poodle. I cannot imagining him coming in a dog park. I have tried to teach him not to flip out when we walk by a dog park. He will drag me. I have worked with him at by holding him really close when neighbors walk by and that has improved. So, in summary he is totally distracted by dogs because I took home to the park before he was well trained.
I can't grab my dogs collar like you because he just runs away in the back yard likes it a game. Any suggestions?
Excellent..Fuck me, you are good!
What if your puppy is six months?
This dog is already perfectly trained. So there is no point in showing how great the recall is. I wish i could find a video with a stubborn dog like mine who listens perfectly when she thinks its a great game but who totally ignores me when she sniffs/smells/hears/sees something interesting.
I would like to see a trainer who shows me how to again get her attention.
Some one told me its my fault because i should make myself more interesting by singing and dancing to hold on to her attention .So i should hire a brass band and a group of clowns to accompany me at the walks?
As soon as he started talking about Tina, I started thinking of the llama/alpaca thing from Napoleon dynamite
Have you come across a dog with reactivity so bad that you couldn’t fix them? Because if not, I think I have one to be your first :/
It was so funny , he didn't come.
Thank you. You are giving specific real instructions.
Thank you! I am desperately trying to get my working cocker to recall. Does it when it suits him. So refreshing to see a video where the dog does what mine does and the collar grab is something I’ve never heard of before but exactly what he needs before he bolts away.
As I sit here watching Cooper not come when called, I have to wonder if he even knows what Come means. I've always understood that you Teach before you Train. This means you put the dog in an environment with no distractions and you teach him what Come means before you introduce distractions or begin to formalize it as a command. Teach, train, test. Maybe this was done, but it wasn't shown.
this helped alot im the only one in my family that trians my siberian husky so he is basicly my dog at this point and i took him outside after this video with only 4 treats and i let go of his leash and he didnt run off or anything he stayed near me and when i told him to come he came to me without a problem and sat down i really appreciate this
You are doing an absolutely phenomenal job btw!
But I do have to call you out on the sound part.
13:05
That's totally bs about low pitches. The reason you have to really enunciate and punctuate your commands like "COME" is so your dog can make it out from your regular talking.
Your talking is just a waterfall of noise.
Those clear punctuated commands are able to stand out, and your dog will know to pay attention.
The idea is right. It's just that the reasoning isn't quite there.
I love how the dog is like im here and your just flashing treats. Get in my belly!
How to stop a two year old dog from eatibg tissues??
Worried my dog not listening i dk whats happenned
So basically its pointless to try this method with a 4 month old makes sense 😅😂
Thanks for takingp the time to make this video, it is helping. I found very useful information I never thought about.
Dogs in fact do hear the rumble of a truck, a car, a motorcycle, a snow mobile, an ATV, most definitely.
So who's the 1 percent 🤔
What is the leash for training
I can't work out whether this is satire or not. Pretty sure it is. Right?
How do I do this with my exotic pets such as cougars and bears?
My boy is a rescue 3yrs. old what should I do
Great video. Thanks! How do you do a grab when your dogs don't wear collars? Obviously for training purposes we will have it on. My puppy grabs and twists the other dogs collars!
I have a question what if you grab your dog and tell them to sit and they do, but you let go of the leash because you think they will stay but they run away? What do I do then ?
when i try to get my dog she just runs away from me
Even my dog does the same like this
What about when they try to avoid you because they know you want to grab them?
Less bla bla more on works please.
You stuck at this
Joel what if your dog moves away from you to avoid being grabbed. Then you end up chasing them.
Just wanna make it clear the “you cant teach an old dog new tricks” is very untrue, it doesn’t matter how old youre dog is they can always learn new things
What about a puppy/dog that isn’t treat motivated?
