Campaign was unplayable at the start. The bots just shredded me, even on lowest setting.
And mustiplayer-matches (woho, 5vs 5 with some bot-controlled capitals) were just boring or dieing of ping-prpvlems.
I played it for 4 hours, then uninstalled it.
A 40€ package in ANY gacha-game would have been a better investment.

I'm one of those flight sim nerds. Game is pretty neat for that stuff but the flight mechanics are pretty meh, probably because star wars is more like air planes in space instead of space ships in space and even for air planes in space they still don't really behave right. Still fun for a few hours though, especially with VR. Back to Star Citizen and MS Flight Sim now.

On sale for 23 bucks i thought it was a great throwback to the old pc games. Some of the ships were a lot better than others, but the tie missions were just so effing hard to see anything, the tracking part is the only thing I really dislike about it. I mean the idea is great but if they'd patch it to cut the damn ship interior that takes up 3/4 of the screen, and just do a hud, i would play it again

I ended up getting a refund for Squadrons, and then turned around and bought the ancient TIE fighter 90's game for the memories. Squadrons just felt like a long tutorial (as the vid said) and the battles didnt feel big or important. In TIE fighter you felt like you were a part of a bigger world, even if some of the missions were just like, "All you have to do is go on a patrol". Then all hell breaks loose, every time. Geeze they knew how to make games in 1994.
I play SWBF II and there's a similar gameplay in that game. Can someone tell me how is this any different? That allows more than 5v5
It will never cease to amaze me how Disney screwed up every single aspect of Star Wars, including awarding the gaming license to EA alone. Since 2012 EA has done almost nothing with one of the most lucrative licenses in the world. Good job.

Should have just made Battlefront 2 original remastered. It had the best of both worlds. Air battles and ground battles. Or make it like renegade squadron and if you jump In a ship from the ground in a match you enter a battle in space, 2 fronts one match.
