I have been out with IGN and game reviews/reviewers for a while now. Thanks VG for calling them out and highlighting the hypocrisy of these outlets.
I mean I don't give a damn if it is your job – if you don't like something or you can't or won't play something then don't review it!! Let someone else who is willing to take the time, put in a decent effort, and who actually cares play the game and perform a review free from bias that these second rate hacks did not even bother to hide.
IGN had no reason to throw a Low Blow at GK and diss half the gaming industry like that.
The new reviewers are youtubers clicking that bait. There is no much of a separation from them now.
They are harping on an older game, because talking smack about Nintendo right now will get you crushed by a corporate heel stomping 😅
I don't bother with "reviews" because my own criticisms of a game will be based on my experience. These so-called reviews only propagate biases that are most times not grounded at all. To get a game I just need to be interested in it's story and watch the gameplay. And, yeah, the IGN review was quite laughable.

So I’ve played the game since day one, and I could say that the game is not that bad, could it have been better? of course, with the low frame rate and slow combat, and just the fact that red hood is just trash. But, the cosmetics in the game is very cool., the stories was fun, my favorite story was Mr. freeze.. I love the way you can sneak around still take them out. Fighting the court of owls was OK., my opinion they shouldn’t never used the court of owls. The court of owls is one of the greatest Batman stories., and I think the game wasn’t good enough to show that. But the game wasnt bad.. again,could combat have been better?!, yes!, a lot better. But it wasn’t as bad to where you just didn’t want to play it at all.. I had fun, and I spent hours playing, my daughter even plays, she’s likes it alot. my favorite character to play was Roben. And the color combinations suits just looks amazing… the game has a lot of potential. And if they’re planning on making a sequel. I’m pretty sure they’re gonna learn from their mistakes on this game.. my opinion I give the game 6 out of 10..
IGN is a JOKE first and foremost anyone who listens to those reviews are straight up sheep who don't possess the ability to form their own thought.
The thing about video games is we no longer should be questioning a games $60 price tag but the in-price tag it means to us. I've got a hundred hours in GK and every second was worth it especially with the replay ability of doing another character and the free dlc they have been dropping makes it super easy to pick up at any time.

You know, I always thought that IGN giving Gotham nights a five out of 10 was a little bit harsh and weird. But this makes so much sense. I have had the privilege to play Gotham, Knights and I loved mostly everything, it’s not perfect, no game is, but it’s still a pretty good game. It is very sad and unfortunate to hear that IGN is not giving Gotham knights enough credit. What’s bad is is that if IGN gave Gotham Knights a terrible review, then imagine all the other games that they gave a very bad review. I like the Arkham games, in fact, it’s one of my favorite games, but I went in Gotham nights with an open mind, and I had fun with the stealth the immersive combat system, and the beautiful, very well done, open world. If they always compared Gotham knights to the Arkham games, how about hire someone to review Gotham knights who hasn’t played the Arkham games and then we will see how different the scores are.
