I just played the game on my first playthrough. Hardcore mode. It was actually fun and challenging. The biggest challenge for me was dealing with the waves of mutated enemies before first two-head fight. And the stomping in this game is kinda lackluster. I enjoyed dead space remakes stomping so much better.

I almost rushed through the game on first try because i just couldn’t stop playing. It’s easy the most intense and immersive game of the year imho! I loved the dark setting and art style compared to gow or horizon 2.

set all QTEs to auto compleat it will save you so much trouble and pain.
i think they spent so much time on the the look of the game and the combat, that they had to pad it out a bit, i wish they had not done that and given us a shorter but more focused game with more verity.
hopefully dispite all the unfair haters this will do well enough for a sequal, for a first attempt from a small indi team they have produced something outstanding if you put asside its faults, which for me did not outweigh the fun and freaky moments i had with the game.
Guardians of the galaxy had the worst spaceship combat sections of all time but the game overall was exellent.

"jacob doesnt give hints when a puzzle is blocking your way"… yea because there are zero puzzles in this entire game. Its essentially a pretty converyor belt of hallways.

I heard that miniboss appears 4 times, not 3.

Time to wait for the dlc to be released, then sold as a package, cheaper.

I am glad I stopped doing pre-orders after cyberpunk heartbreak.

The combat seems tuned to be more like Last of Us with a pretty unique melee system that's crunchy and satisfying for the most part. I really dig it. The game looks incredible honestly & is suitable for Action Horror fans. Just keep some expectations in check & the game isn't really scary with way too many jumpscares to be effective. Combat is fine with some jank especially in crowds of enemies where the camera pretty much screws you lol There are weird save points in the game that irked my nerves.

This game slaps and is not too hard on maximum security (HARD) combat is tight and can be punishing but only if greedy. You don't need your guns to much … more in the sense like attack and take potshots using their mechanic but not saying it's not viable it's just so much fun. As far as story goes it's a horror mystery more like she stated I call the major lore dump crescendo the rest of the stuff is up to you to dig into through audio logs. This is a great survival horror game with roots like they should be emphasis on horror immersion and Jacob does talk to him self from time to time.

PC version is a disgrace, horrible stuttering, instantly refunded, such a shame as i was massively looking forward to it

Issue is we all just came from gow ragnarok, horizon 2 and last of us remastered and have been spoiled. Not everything has to be an absolute powerhouse in every facet. I enjoyed it and I’ll play it again. I’d give it about an 8 mostly cause kimikos my celebrity crush.

It is a bit annoying to have another buzzcut white male protagonist in an action/horror game…

According the comments from players on Steam/PC, this game plays like a stuttering, low-framerate mess. Commeters noted that anyone with a 3080 or less was likely to find that the laggy controls due to framrate drop makes the fine control needed for combat all but impossible. On PC, it seems that anyone with less than a bleeding edge PC game box will not be able to actually play this game. I suppose they studio marketing department decided they could make enough profit by this game being a PS5 only game? At $70, this makes it a must skip for PC gamers. 😕

For me the german synchronisation is a catastrophe, luckily I can change to englisch…
Now I struggle a little bit with that combat system, but we will see. Just in a few hours.
