Can I please check what treat you are using in this video?
Great video and very informative! Thank you
Could you tell me please where one can purchase one of those dog crates?
okay hold up, he gave a treat at 3:13 and watch his hand closely, it never moves anywhere into his pockets, and magically another treat spawned into his hand at 3:21
Man..watched many of ur videos..what's up with ur hands? Perhaps u need some training to keep them less excited
"Oppositional reflex"!!!!! Thank YOU, Thank You!!!!!!! I have watched your videos and love your approach and training methods. I was hoping you had a video that touched on this subject!! I just rescued an American Pitbull Terrier and the first thing she does is lay down….dead weight!! It is extremely difficult to do anything with her since she doesn't trust or even know me that well. Thank you for posting!! I will not give up on her so thank you for your guidance and helpful instruction!!
My dogs not interested in treats, prefers praise. How can I lure him to me without praising him for not moving?
I once trained my neighbors pit puppy to heel with a daisy. I was watching them try to train and she kept getting distracted by flowers, so I asked if I can try, so I picked one and called her and she followed the flower down the sidewalk. So funny, she just wasn't treat oriented. She liked flowers.
this would help if my puppy was food driven but shes not
I tried that but she still won’t come
I notice that your puppy training of walking on the Leash is very different from older dogs (slip lead en going back and forth). At what age do you change the approach? For context: I have a rescue dog that is around six months old. Very intrested in knowing the right approach.
Why is create training important ?? I'm learning before I jump in.
Have a yr old chocolate lab. She hate a leash and fights it and chews on it and jumps around and flops around. Can’t get her to walk at all. Don’t know what to do.
At which age should I begin those trainings?
Thank you for this video. I just got a 10 month old puppy who at the moment seems to be afraid of the world right now and has lots of moments of digging in and not wanting to go anywhere on the leash. (Unless it’s a direction she’s interested in going ) I’ve been looking for videos to see if anything helps and so many videos only address pulling on the leash instead of digging against it. At the moment she doesn’t seem to like any treats so I’ll need to try to figure out what actually seems really tempting to her but this video has been extremely helpful !
Hi Will, what do you do when the dog isn’t food motivated?
My 11 week old red and tan kelpie is the first puppy I have ever had that isn’t keen af to go walking. In the past others were just pulling like crazy, which is easy and I have experience and know how to deal with that side
I’m not worried as he’s got a long way to go, but very curious as to how you would approach this to make his play time and rest time synchronise with the family.
I have just over 20yrs with working dogs, heelers & kelpies, however this is the first time having a puppy since my two boys were born (8&5) and involving them in the process.
Thanks I needed this 😊
Thank you for sharing your knowledge!!
I love your videos.. but this doesn’t address when we’re trying to “go for a walk” and every smell and other dog barking makes my dog not care at all if I have treats. There’s almost nothing I can do to break her free of the fear she is in. She’s about 13 weeks old lab.
Have had a 12-week-old puppy for almost a week now. Getting good at “sit”, but he likes to stop and “dig in” when we walk somewhere.
Thank you for the great advice!
Why on your left side for heal? Is it just a choice?
Hi Will, tried to sign up for your course but the registration isn’t working. No email comes through mate.
I am go glad I came across this channel! This is my first time owing a puppy. My puppy always gave me a hard time during walks but after watching your video our walks went alot smoother.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This only works if you have a food motivated dog. It’s so hard to find resources for those of us with dogs that don’t care about food that much if they’re not in the mood.
I love your techniques.
All great offering treats to entice the dog to walk. But what about after a few weeks when he figures this out and won’t move unless he gets a treat?
Can any one help my 4 month old Boerboel walks nicely on the path but soon as we touch grass he tries to run all over the place and he’s on lead how can I correct this situation
New dog owner here 😂decided to walk my 11week old coonhound. Pup became resistive, crying etc. Panic alarm went on in my head that the neighbors are going to think im abusing this pup. So i stopped. "Rocky" got what he wanted. He sprinted to the backyard to enjoy some sunshine. Day 2 starting in a month. 😂
Brilliant! Yield to lead pressure
