The story clearly describes the aliens as having antennae, mandibles, and an exoskeleton. Clearly insect-like. And yet the aliens in the image are clearly reptilian, or orcish.
Um we didn't evolve from pursuit predators and the fight or flight is from when we were prey. Otherwise great story. We are actually wait and see predators. We make traos and opportunities. The hunter gatherer myth is just that as all archeologists and anthropologists now know. Our studies on ancient diet kinda gave it away. We are literally built to be couch potatoes.
