Recently played the game. This boss was great. A good curve to prepare you for other fights. The music was always good, but 2nd phase brings you into a different territory. Reminds me of Gundyr from DS3. Top class

Best ost. I was astonished with the game itself then the osts hit me even harder. I like all osts but varg's ost shifting from relaxed rhythmic to aggresive always makes me shiver. Those choirs in phase 1 are just perfection

Something I find interesting about Varg's theme; Phase one is in 7/8 time signature, giving it that lilting rhythm. Perhaps it's to portray the fight as a very confident duel of skill, or to suggest the unhinged fierceness/loyalty of Varg? However, phase two has the more commonly used 4/4 time signature. As if to say, "No more playing around!"
