Got a PlayStation Portal and I’m loving it! I’m getting more lil indies done now finally
bought myself the oled steam deck. I travel a lot already for work, but having it while im visitng family ove the holidays is what made me buy it now
I REALLY appreciate CD projekt red letting people upgrade their PS4 purchase of Cyberpunk to the PS5 version, what a difference! My new PS5 "slim" stays nice and quiet while I'm playing, very nice. Thanks Jake for everything!
they should make a ps green for android and make it portable if you add a battery, add a qr on the back and focus on digital sales with no adds.
I'm really hoping for a PS4.6 Laptop some day, preferably with a touch screen, a mounting rail, a decent and not shit stand, a sim card and 2 maybe 2,4 t flops of grafics. And the latest Mint as a duelboot option.
I think the Portal is target towards 30+ year olds. People who love gaming but have kids and / or reduced time to play. The portal is great for somebody who wants to game anywhere in the house on the fly, but does not want to get a steam deck lol.

I am seeing reports on reddit of the Limited Edition having issues with dead pixels. I ordered one today, fingers crossed i dont run into that!

Remote Play makes sense for those that have a singular TV in the household and others may want to watch "TV" on it. I was surprised as well, but then again, I loved my Vita and remote play was an option as well. Albeit on a smaller screen and having a different control scheme.

I saw on the steam deck that you had Gotham origins on it. Did you play it? Does it run well?
I’m probably not going to get a Portal because I don’t play enough remote play to justify it. But I can see where it makes sense, I mean a backbone is $100, this is $100 more and it has a much larger screen than a phone and much more ergonomic because it’s basically just a controller. A lot more practical than using a dual sense with Bluetooth to a phone because then you have to find a comfortable place to prop up the phone, especially if you’re trying to lay down and relax or something(I’ve had this issue). And again still a bigger screen and natively supported to PS5 don’t have to use an app. Now if they give it native streaming, which there’s no reason why they can’t, that would make it much more useful.

Hey @JakeBaldino, I know I'm late to the party, but do you have any thoughts on the potential for Portal to do Cloud Streaming as opposed to streaming from PS5? There was a mention of the capability by some Sony exec in a recent interview (in Japan, I believe). While I find it weird that it doesn't have any cellular data capabilities, being able to directly stream games from the PS+ catalogue would make it a more attractive proposition to me.
Wulff Den proved the OLED for switch, and likely for SD, will not get burn in with regular use

my launch ps5 electrocuted me friday and then i went down a rabbit hole of ps5 usb ports zapping people or melting and evo 2023 . of course peole were like " oh it was just static shock, but it was really bad and not just static, i had a metal taste in my mouth, headaches and pin up my right arm… straight up honest im afraid to use my ps5, so i want to replace my ps5 because i have tons of games, but i was debating if i wanted a ps5 slim or the 3rd revision they did.
I want the steam deck OLED so bad but I’ve been a naughty gamer this year and bought too many games 😂 I’ll ride out the LCD until SD 2 or until I eventually break down around the holidays and impulse buy it

they didn't produce a lot of PSP's besides all the YouTubers had to buy it so they can get clicks and not to mention the effing scalpers that are snatching them so they can sell them on eBay. For me, I will wait for a fire sale a few years down the road.
