To be fair, I thought they'd split ownership 50/50, but they actually only split it 75/25. There were also plenty of other people that made this prediction and expected this result, regardless of the success of Shadows. It really is not a remarkable prediction at all since it was pretty clear this is where things were headed if you looked at things through the finance lense. Still, it's fun to say "I told you so!" haha
What happened to for honor how is that still getting updates
Why was my comment deleted? 🤔
So what you're saying is that Beyond Good and Evil 2 is coming out soon? 🤩
We know EXACTLY what will happen to those employees not brought into the new subsidiary. There'll be a huge review period while they sort out who is worth keeping or not, who is in a "right to work" state, etc.
Then there'll be a downsize.
I just hope that these new shareholder will stay true to the games of Far Cry Assassins Creed and Rainbow Siege. For me Assassins Creed though. I did play Far Cry 5 and played Rainbow 6 Siege years ago which both were pretty good but never completed either of them though. But I understand that with the financial bind UbiSoft was and probably still is in though they really didn't have a choice but to do this
The concord t shirt rocks man😅
the concord shirt is frying me 😂
The agonal breathing and death rattles of Ubisoft has begun…
Can someone explain in laymen’s terms who from Ubisoft has been the reason for lackluster products? It’s late when I’m watching this and got lost fast
Every time Luke mentions he has a degree in corporate finance, that funny "I need a man in finance" meme plays non-stop in my head. Thanks Luke. LOL.
This channel is falling off a cliff.
Sangwenay 😂😂😂😂😂
Why call luke a hater, he is one of the few youtubers who actually like ubisoft. Most of the other ones that talk about ubisoft, barely touch the games and droll over the ability to rage bait incels who will believe anything.
The simple way to look at it: All Ubisoft did was sell shares to Tencent off the stock market, and it happened to be the most juicy shares.
People forget that ubisofts problems was never with the inherent quality. Shadows and Valhalla are comfortably mid, the real issue comes from the bloated development costs, overstaffed and underperforming employees, and a gigantic break even for every title. That’s just not sustainable even if your games are received well.
Oh, the Irony, Luke Stephens being a Ubisoft of YouTube
This is the second time ubi has been saved by tencent can’t kill a giant
I agree it's too late for AC Shadows to save Ubisoft (as in help the company stay as it is, because Ubisoft ain't going no where). That said, the game is actually more than okay… it does need a lot more polishing, the bugs are annoying amongst voice acting and other weird stuff. Then again, Cyberpunk2077 was released broken, it's become game developer policy in general. Release, get money, fix. Even KCD2 has tones of bugs.
It's not a "great" game, but saying that it's a bad game is BS.
Ubisoft Stock Falls Double Digits Days After Tencent Deal but Luke lives on his own bubble world 😂
The Luke Stephens cycle: "It''s too late for this game to beat expectations — this game is beating all expectations — I was right about this game being not enough to beat expectations" 💀
