Yes, it was really that bad.
In every AC game there was one thing i did not like about the combat. Each time it was something else. Some minute thing. In AC 3 thou…i hate every single aspect of the combat.

The combat is horrible, good combat animations but overall completely trash combat. The rest of the game is cool and I like it tho.
The ship missions suck, The 100% tasks are annoying, for 2019 the game looks really bad, the story doesn't interest me at all (Connor doesn't interest me a bit as a carackter)
I take pride in saying that AC 3 is my fav game in the franchise.

I tried to like this game but feels empty.
As a native American Connor is pissed off and angry in a hurry to save his people. Maybe your people haven't been anywhere close to being extinct but you just really have no clue how to put yourself in someone else's shoes and maybe that's why the world is as shitty as it is, because of that Actual inability of humans like you to even try to understand something in a way only you understand. Look up on the horrible genocidal history AND THEN re-do your review.. your the only one with a negative thing to say about this part of the game. Your knowledge sucks

Connor was the trash of the Assassin’s Creed Series. To be honest I loved the game’s start. It has one of the best starts of all the Assassins Creed games. With Haytham Kenway at my side, I was very happy. Loved him. But then. The script writers chose to make him our enemy. And give control to connor, a naive, unwise kid with no direction, and no purpose. Never liked him. Off all black characters in AC, I loved Adewalle from Assassins creed Black Flag. Strong character, wise and calm. But still I loved Haytham even as game creators chose to make him our enemy. The AC 3 revealed to me that Templars are not as bad as the game makes us to think. They have a purpose and they have a direction. Unlike assassins who just kill mostly all the people in authority and government and especially Christians. Haytham I love him. And even game shows us that he is on the right side when Connor had a discussion during the last fight. Haytham answers all of his questions, and with extremely valuable words that connor do not have any answer or objection to instead of just resorting to violence.
You need to live a shitty life to understand connor and ACIII

The combat is boring really, it doesn't change anything from the previous if you break it down to the simple form. I have once fought around 30 people simultanously because of the wanted meter and still won. It's still press E to win and not satisfying whatsoever.

I think it’s considered as a good game because the revolutionary war is at core what all the games have been about. Freedom vs totalitarian safety. The games are all about how we should be free to shape our future and live with the consequences and what is a better Portrayal of that than the Revolutionary war.
I hate this game. The history is good but the gameplay is bad bad and BAD.
Let me put this into perspective. It's like if Red Dead Redemption put you through about five or six missions as John, and then forced you to play as his son the rest of the game. But it's not like John died, instead the game wants you to kill him and become a patricide.

Colonial American time was way different from Renaissance Italy, especially Florence, they didn’t have a lot of buildings and the infrastructure wasn’t like Europe, hence why there wasn’t enough buildings to parkour on
