the only thing holding me back from buying this game is the horrible performance issues. the 30fps i can somewhat forgive, but i’ve seen slideshow-like frame rates. that’s unacceptable.

Recently purchased the deluxe edition for my PS5. Been really enjoying it.
It’s shit
I describe the game as the love child of any of the earlier Arkham games and Breathe of the Wild (RPG elements, crafting, story) and Jedi: Fallen Order (gameplay mechanics), and that’s meant to be a compliment. The voice acting and the stories about the characters are what really pull me in. There are some small fixes to be made in the coding, but nothing that gets in the way of the fun. I actually prefer the Bat cycle in this game to Batmobiles in earlier games because the steering feels solid. Sure the Batmobile feels faster, but it’s sloshing around the streets and sidewalks, taking you out of the immersion of feeling like you’re in control of things. Lastly, Gotham Knights is just as violent as its predecessors, but lacks this dark and angry feeling that emanates from the Arkham games. I simply do not need that vibe in my life.

People can't except not everyone hates this game and has different (more original like sheepish) opinions,
I just got to level 40, and 90% if this game I played co-op with a dude I met randomly on the first day since neither of us had a life this weekend lol. I can tell you the game is absolutely way more fun in co-op mode.
I tried some missions solo and it was not the same lol.
We’ve already gotten to level 50-52 gear from heroic assault. I actually regret doing heroic assault before doing my new game+ run through of the game though, you become so strong that it’s game breaking and the enemies stop syncing up enough to be fun!
It's a fun game, I have all the Arkham games also. But it's like apples and oranges, no game is perfect.

After 40 hours of play time i've come to the conclusion that Gotham knights was perhaps the Okayest game ever made. The combat was fine, the story was fine, the voice acting was fine, the graphics were fine. It's trying very hard not to be arkham for a game that so clearly wants to be arkham. So much to the point it makes you wonder why the didn't just build on existing structure that Arkham laid out.
Seriously underrated

I mean game isn’t that bad at all. I for one found it far more enjoyable than certain other games which got nominated for game of the year. I’m not gonna bash on it but I’ll say that it was over hyped and under delivered in my opinion.
