What printer would you buy?
Tomorrow will mark 30 days since my CC stopped working. Still waiting for the new motherboard. Meanwhile I can run to Best Buy and buy an A1 with the combo. So tempting
Mike how long did it take for your p1s to come in? On vacation. Don't want it to arrive before I get home.
I thought it was the centauri carbon?
Well i got my first CC delivered today, it has the multicolor port on the back BUt still has the og light..which is kinda suprising as i really feel i shouldve been on the new light batch… AND worse my top lid was shattered.. Tip to Elegoo: Dont put some dumb obvious "Do not trample" warning on the top of the box… as some kid working at a shipping warehouse prob "trampled" it for spite lol which totally looks like what happened. everything else is fine..just now to test and pray it functions..
Best use for the AMS: not running out of a single color. 100%
Just bought! Can’t wait to have my first bambu printer!!! I also ordered the creality Hi so im happy to have multiple multicolor printers
How about A1 mini ?
Have you tried using the multi material for supports? I see their Support for PLA/PETG in a flash sale right now, and if using a different support material really helps, that seems like a compelling reason to go with an AMS.
For a new to FDM person, yeah A1 or Mini. If you have some experience or really want Core XY (and the pricing sticks), Centauri Carbon.
Really, any of those three. And I have all three.
i just now got an email update that my Elegoo CC will be here Thursday!! Im on the "before july 31st" pre-order so looks like early shipments. my 2nd one is on the "by Aug 15th" i missed getting it ordered in time by 4 days (ugh) batch but at least i get one to play with in the meantime over a month early!
If anyone is near a microcenter, they are honoring the bambu labs sale prices.
Hi, love your videos !
Given the current sale what would you recommend between A1 and P1S, I am considerign the P1S because it's quite humid where I live and my apartment is quite dusty (living in the city center), plus the enclosure is nice and the P1S is more compact (I have restricted space). Drawbacks I see with the P1s are the screen (not so big of a deal if I use the app or PC), it's more noisy (I guess I can use silent mode ?), no automatic flow calibration like the A1, and obviously the price (sad …).
With current slaes P1S combo with AMS2 pro is 800 eur vs 440 eur for the A1 combo, P1S with old AMS is 650 eur, the P1S alone is 440 eur which is a crazy good deal. The new AMS is kind of overpriced IMO, it's so bad that buying the printer and ams separately, you 'only lose' 60 eur…
Best deal looks like the P1S with the old AMS but to be honest I heard it's quite annoying to work with if you need to fix something on it.
What are your thoughts ? Sorry for the long comment ^^.
Just bought mine in summer sale .
"Hi! I'm wondering if it's better to buy the A1 Combo or just the printer. I'm not sure if I'll need color printing in the future, but the AMS seems useful for more than just colors — like switching materials and auto-loading the next spool when one runs out. I don't plan on painting or sanding prints, so if I ever use multi-color, I'd prefer something that works well straight out of the printer. The anniversary discounts seem like a great opportunity, so I'm thinking of making a decision soon. What would you recommend for someone who's still undecided?"
The elegoo carbon is a far better choice, it does so much more and better for a excellent price
Is it a great printer? Yes. Is it tying you up into it's ecosystem like Apple? also Yes.
If you had the choice for the same price, would you rather buy a Bambu Lab A1 or an Anycubic Kobra S1? 🙂
