Wait isn’t bondo toxic to the skin
Great into but, where’s your gloves and respirator brov?
Love the apron!
I've been using this stuff and I about asphyxiated myself working without a mask in an unventilated area. I dunno how your doing that with your bare hands and no face mask haha
I've only recently begun to get good at the post-smoothing, but Bondo is definitely an important part of my work-flow. Great video.
No gloves????
What's the printer you used for this?
Where can I get that Batman mask stl
4 years later and we are useing uv resin mixed with baby powder.
I love this video I know it will look amazing when it gets the finished color on it ,Hey can I have your ironman helmet my son is a big fan of him well me too 😂
I noticed the Cayde-6 mask….did you finish it or done a video ?
I’m making a respirating mask and was wondering if this spot putty method would work to make the porous surface smooth and filled in as to not let air in through the imperfections of the 3d printing process. Thank you
U need a respirator
no available in France 🙁
Nice "Los Pollos Hermanos" apron. Would Gustavo approve? Also the video is quite good too. Cheers.
Played around with XTC-3d on a mask and discovered it's way too thick for very detailed objects, tried to even thin it out with acetone but it was still too thick, you don't have a lot of control and it tends to create drips and fill details. Will try woodfiller next as it seems at a glance to be better, you don't need gloves as it isn't toxic and you can thin it out with water, it may be more time consuming since you need to go over the entire surface but you will have more control. Another alternative may be an acrylic spot putty like the one punished props is using.
Interesting… I am going to be using this on my next engineering project.. do you use the raw paste without the hardener? My tube came with a hardener, that I will probably never use.
Great project. I have painted cars for 30 years. Spot putty is not the same as Bondo Body Filler. The brand is the same but Bondo body filler is polyester resin that is hardened with catalyst. Spot putty is red oxide primer in putty form. If put on too thick it can take days to dry. I would recommend Evercoat spot putty as it is much easier to sand and never shrinks like spot putty does. Again. I don't mean to be a stickler but I have known what it is to have spot putty shrink especially in the summer heat. Hope this helps. Here's a link.https://www.summitracing.com/parts/fge-400?seid=srese1&cm_mmc=pla-google-
shoppingsrese1_-evercoat&gclid=CjwKCAjw You can sand the evercoat as it is catalyzed glazing putty in as short as five minutes especially in summer with zero shrinkage and I have successfully put it on over primer too and not bare metal. How much would it cost for you to make one for me? If you would be fine with that
Just amazing….I really enjoy watching your videos from start to finish! The finish results are wow
Is this different from the clear Bondo spot putty?
that's cool 😎😎😎
