Honestly I do hope Pocketpair notices the "rescue Pal" strat and adds a pal that is meant to be a medic with a partner skill that gives them an extreme sanity resist, or at least a skill that causes an AoE heal.
So with your rescue pals dying so fast, would you still recommend Defense buffing food or does some sanity food make more sense? In which case, would fried Kelpsie be the play with the 10% defense and SAN buff?
Considering that the entire "defense" tab of the base building parts are useless the fact rescue pals exist at all feels like a bug or oversight. I doubt they intended for this and it'll probably be nerfed in the future. But I'm hoping things go in the other direction instead. I'd rather see raid strategies more fun than "breed a ton of pals and throw bodies until it dies".
Makes me want to put heart of the immovable king for all rescue pals
