How many runs did it take you to best your first nightlord? Who's been your favourite so far?
EDIT: Adding a clarification here regarding the giant castle. My point in the video against hitting the castle day 1 is more pertaining to killing the sewer boss and top of the castle boss and the randoms who insist on fighting them when we're level 3-5. While it's doable and you get a giant reward for it it's absolutely impractical, especially if you get bad RNG and it rolls an awful boss like bell bearing who will easily 1 shot anyone under lvl 7 and is tanky af. Realistically you're going to have to zoom around the map to grab flasks no matter what so you're better off doing that while you're lower level and can effectively clear the regular points of interest. Being level 10+ clearing those camps isn't going to be much faster than being level 5 but being level 10 when you actually invest time in going to the castle is SIGNIFICANTLY more efficient. You can absolutely hit the castle on the first night even at level 5 but you need to have a team you can trust and play coordinated and probably only kill non sewer/rooftop enemies. With randoms it's too much of a dice roll usually. Also, if you don't fully clear the castle on day 1 then you waste precious traversal time going back there again to clear the sewer and top castle boss that you likely skipped. It's just way simpler and more consistent to save that for night 2, it's more than easy enough to hit lvl 9-10 without going there on night 1. Also, sites of grace aren't going to spawn unless you've killed those bosses so you have to leave the castle to hit the outer perimeter graces to level up during this process which wastes even more time. I've always had a much easier time hitting lvl 15 by NOT hitting the castle on night 1. Anecdotal yes, but I definitely feel the consistency of holding off on it until later. Happy to have people challenge this perspective! 🙂
My dad makes all churches his priority i tell him just grab one or 2 then move on he won't listen
I have a question, why do u not lock and manually aim? Like in 8:45
W video
Some decent advice in this video:
– prioritise first camp
– prioritise outer ring churches
– prioritise affinity camps (though not essential)
– Level 3 for evergaols
– Level thresholds for field bosses
Some terrible advice in this video:
– Clear out mobs at camps rather than just go straight for bosses
– Don't hit castle day 1
– Commit a full day for the castle
You should skip mobs and just go for bosses in camps.
You should absolutely hit castle day 1 (though may miss top boss).
Castle should not take even one ring close.
You can do large castle at lvl 5 with the proper team. Just don’t do top boss until day 2
Lvl 5 at bottom castle boss is very standard in my runs and I’ve defeated all the bosses except the new one with this strat
My wife just bought me this last night for our 10 year anniversary
Someone anyone help me 😂 i have no idea whats going on but i fricken love it
Great video!
Google "nightreign timer" – it even has audio cues
Its crazy to see how good the community has gotten. Now everyone tries to take out the castle on day 1.
Your castle tip is so wrong it’s not even funny dude…… you mean to tell me you can’t kill banished knights or trolls before lvl 10? Stop making content then if you’re THAT bad at the game.
If it's Banished Knights, I actually like going to castle second half of day 1 if there's a shifting earth (that isn't Noklateo). Usually my teams and I all still get them cleared out before the circle starts closing in, at least the ones that drop rewards, and it leaves us all the time we need to take care of greater enemies/evergaols on first half of day 2, then the shifting earth on the second half. Crucible Knights and trolls are definitely a first-half-of-day-2 matter, though.
I'm usually lvl 11 at night 1
The way this game feels is very fortnight, get on battle bus drop in find loot avoid storm and final victory royal
small bit of info on your starting drop: there is actually one location that you can drop on that will never get you enough runes to get that 2nd level which would be the churches as they have like 2 – 3 rats but in exchange you start off with an extra flask rather than a level
It depends on the castle on day 1, i usually go for the underground boss if it isn't BBH and clear some of the enemies that are on it, it's always fine for me and that helps me reach level 10/11 on day 1, on day 2 i finish clearing the elite enemies on the castle and go for the top boss, after that i go around and clear the red outline bosses, I've reached alot of level 14/15 runs routing like this
If you're low on time(ie in the storm) and the boss is low on health, poison can be a life saver(if you're okay with just the runes on night 2) get them down to like 10% hit em with poison and run tf away
One strategy I usually do is doing Castle day 1 with level at least 4, but only the "elite trash" mobs. This gives you enough exp to reach level 8/9. Then beat the first nightboss and depending on how far you're from the casttle you can either return to beat both bosses or simply do evergols and field great bosses.
Pro tip: stop pinging multiple places
10:00 It is fine to kill some enemies at the castle at day 1. Especially when you have a good team
Who fucking cares?
Castle day 1 is absolutely viable, once yoy hit lvl 8 you can reliability get rid of most things except the rooftop boss in the castle
I have an additional tip, i find myself doing evergaol as soon as i hit lv 2. Sometimes you end up lvl 4 or 6 as soon as minute 2 in the game. It smooths the following fights since you are a lot stronger to take on elemental camps or low tier field bosses. Doing this i find myself consistently ending day one 10-11 even with randoms.
2:30 "tons" ujum lol sure
