Old footage of the mound. The steps over the tail are no longer there. They no longer allow drones to fly over it. I actually talked to someone who worked there last year( this is 2024 as i post this) they dont think that there were no humans living in the area when the meteorite hit. They also told me the local tribal elders told them it's not a snake, but a turtle. What's supposed to be the egg is the turtles body, the legs are gone but in front of the egg is a small mound which could be the head. What is supposed to be the snake is the walk of life, representing the journey of life we all take, the coil being the end. It's a theory, but the oerson brought up that no snake coils it's tail like that.
I have another theory regarding the (so called) Serpent Mound. I might be wrong, of course, but when I see images of 'Serpent Mound', I don't see a serpent at all. I see a 'sperm'. The fact that the (so called) Serpent Mound points towards the Summer solstice makes perfect sense when you understand that this particular day of the year has been linked to fertility for millennia. This is just how I see it of course and it does rely on the creators being 'alien', as ancient humans would not know what a sperm looks like under a microscope (as these were not invented when the mound was created). It's just how I see it but it certainly looks more like a sperm than a snake to me.

Fort Ancient people are my tribe's (Shawnee) ancestors. Maybe interview a Shawnee instead of a Zuni; we have very different views on lore and our history and myths are very different. There's also literally stories within my tribe that talk about the horned serpents even relating to the serpent mound. There's also people buried within the Serpent Mound there as well as around it; you can even view photos of the excavations in different archeologist reports and journals from back then. It is a burial ground, a holy site, not a mining facility. Do better, history channel. This is just disrespectful.
