The one thumbs down must be from the person who asked the first question lol
how many pieces are required to have for your senior portfolio????
You live in USA right?
Do you have an idea of how the terms for people with special needs is on places like art schools? If there's any way to get extra help on your difficulties, like, let's say making friends, if you can only handle to meet 3 of 5 days, etc? 🙂
I redrew your Anna and Elsa Copic marker drawing! I even made a Video of it on YouTube! Please check it out! I gave you credit!!
I have a question about art school…. Would The Art Institute be a good idea for learning and practicing art? I'm 14 and I know that I can attend online classes where they can send me the supplies, books, etc.. And I was wondering if you would maybe recommend them or if there was another art program I could attend at 14? Thank you!
I love your work!
I find really nice to see your digitals 😀
Lately I've hit this place where I don't know if I'm in the right field of study. I am studying Earth Science, and, don't get me wrong; I love geology, but I'm not happy in this field. I really want to do an art/communications degree, but my family keeps telling me "You won't get anywhere with that" so I don't bother… I also don't feel good enough to even be in an art school.
I don't really know what to do.. Should I risk it and try? Or should I just keep with the science because it'll be better for me in the long run?
I've only been drawing for 6 years. You follow me on IG too (@creative_carrah).
I'm so scared to try! x'D Did you ever ask yourself if you were good enough too?
I'm sorry for all the questions. >_<
Cute drawing! i am thinking about going to artschool… i am now doing media design. design logo's, websites and so on. But i don't know if it would be a waste of my time to go to art school when i am done here. when i am done i am 21. but i really like digital art and every one says to me that i dont need art school… But i am not so sure about that what do you think? is it usefull to go to art school if i already can make realistic portraits… or is it a waste of my time..?
I'm a sophomore in high school and there isn't a day I don't have homework. I do take AP classes so maybe that's why? But not having homework for an entire week has been unheard of for me since like middle school haha. Anyways I loved the video it was very interesting and informative, can't wait for the next one!
would you recommend taking gen ed classes before art school to save money? Thats what Im thinking about since art school is so expensive. Im also thinking of taking just some drawing classes at community college as well just to get a better foundation and to keep myself motivated.
My biggest concerns are just the cost or how to get help to pay for it. Im 20 now and it seems like Ive wasted so much time just because idk what to do or who to talk to, to help get myself out there working towards being an artist….

Do you think that you could talk about your experience about transferring to an art school from a two-year community college?
I’m at the point where I’m going to be graduating from a community college in a few months and I’m currently in the process of preparing to apply to various art schools. Since you went through the process, I think it might be helpful to me and other people who are in the same situation.
Hi ^^
I'm almost done with college, and I want to be an illustrator. My main media is watercolours, although I also do a lot of pencil sketches, digital stuff and some acrylics. – My question is; I'm considering whether to take an art education or to go do something else and then illustrate as an hobby and get better through nightclasses (which are really expensive in my country). But all the schools I can find in my country seems to be focused on modern art and 3D. None of them really seem to have an illustration program (Like you're saying they didn't have at yours) so what programs and classes do you think would help me become an illustrator if I get in?
This isn't an "art school" question but it is about school and art, so I hope it still counts! ^^;
Did you feel the need to take several art courses in your high school? In order to take several art electives I consider to be very important (portfolio class, digital illustration, graphic design, and programming which isn't explicitly art but i still think would be useful) I need to sacrifice a year of taking a foreign language. You'll probably just say the same thing you did about the recommended schools question, but I was wondering if you think it's a good idea to get serious so early. Thanks!
Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Kerrie! It is really interesting to hear about your art school experiences, and to get advice from someone who has been through it. I do have a question for your next video: How would you recommend we artists get our work out there? Make a name for ourselves? As someone who dreams of working in animation someday, I would love to hear of any tips you have. I'm an art major in college currently, and it is an intimidating major because of how hard it can be to make a career out of it. But drawing is something I love to do, and cannot give up on it! Thank you again 🙂
This video was very helpful since I'm planning on being an animator as well. I was just wondering if I'd need to take math to become a 3D animator or not. Math isn't something I really enjoy, but I find a big interest in 2D and 3D animation. Thank you Kerrie! 🙂
@mad ret – I haven't made a video discussing that yet. Possibly because I don't really feel that I went through much of a journey as an artist. Art was something I always loved and enjoyed doing, so I just decided to go with what I liked when I started considering career options (I still don't know what I'd actually like to do for a career). Art was something I'd always taken seriously since it was the only thing I really liked to do throughout my life. 🙂
I don't know if you've made a video like this already, but can you do a video talking about your journey as an artist? Like where you started to consider art as a career and started to take it more seriously? 😀 Love watching your videos!
Your tutorials helped me a lot. Thanks 💜
