I loved D3 because it was so flashy and had near unlimited scaling. That's what I'm missing in D4. Just speeding through 80+ grifts with a somersaulting arsenal demon hunter.. or a teleporting astral wizard… whirlwind barbarian… i reminisce about those times.
85% of people play solo, and Blizzard's response is to add raids "Let's force 85% of people to do something they don't want to do."
brilliant
I'm glad they ended development on Diablo 3, but they should have ended development before they ruined the Natalya's set
I only play solo, because if I want my wife or kids to play, only one of them can instead of three of them, and the one who does has to sign into PlayStation network 😂
they need to stop trying to force people to group up, the only benefit to grouping up should give is having an extra target for enemies
as a d2 fan… i dont really understand what the d2 community wants.. so many good mods on d2, just play them. d3 and d4 are awesome games.
They need to give us lobbies back with chat. Best version of this, the trade chat is lame and doesn't compare. I feel like we DON'T have it because of consoles, those bastards! On the other hand I've enjoyed playing with friends who only have a ps5
Playing solo is just super chill
Also, their strategy worked: Make a garbage game at launch and then fix it after a year to where it's in a playable state and then people will call it the best Diablo game ever.
games are becoming to casual… when david brevick was asked how he decides what audience he is making a game for, he says he makes the game for himself, something he himself would enjoy to play, difficulty is based on his preference, nothing was toned down for a casual player, but anyone could still beat the game with time, just go back and farm and retry. diablo has long since been that, you just progress and progress and progress, go back, why go back, there is only forward.
d4 item affixes took a hit for casuals, runewords in the form we all know got scrapped in favor of casuals, legendary powers were invented to simplify building a character out, increased drop rate of legendaries/uniques removal of sets and overall change of loot as a whole came about in favor of casuals, massive damage #'s were brought about to appeal to casual players like # go up, removal of health/mana pots to pick up and manage, removal of identifying items, lowering of affixes to get good loot more commonly, bosses that only drop uniques, changes in difficulty and pacing to from world tiers to a slide bar hard/expert/torment1 ect to guide casual players through in clear text, big circles around quest objectives and the list just keeps going on and on, and whats left is literally a shell of the experience it once was and the one difference that would change it is stopping focus on the casual player, add complexity, add riddles and puzzles, add difficulty in the forms of boss mechanics and not do more health, more damage, make player lose life/resistance on difficulty increase, its not a challenge its swapping a few affixes around and back on our merry way like nothing ever happened.
It's almost like it's from the same developers
the game legit visually even looks more and more like an exact copy of D3.. I haven't played D4's last few dlc's just the first one after release and now revisiting and watching streams or videos made me realize how bad this game looks visually. It doesn't even look that good as I first thought on release. Everything looks so.. outdated already?! Graphically, visually, design, everything of the UI, the inventory window etc. And if that happens this early, you know there is something completely wrong. The game looks, plays and feels almost exactly like an outdated D3 already.. even the combat, the damage numbers, the characters, the skills, everything. It's just a bad remake
It was a stupid move to reduce level cap to 60.
Wow… What a surprise… I didn't even buy D4 because it looked like Blizz was forcing the MMO hand onto it for no reason. I'll continue playing PoE and D2 thank you.
Putting them down just because their designs are bad, not a nice thing to do. Putting them down because there's an objectively negative impact due to the designs and they can't accept it, and also want to go so far as to just claim things like its bigots causing the failure, fine, tear them apart. Can't sit there coddling their poor decisions just because they did the thing. Lots of people do the thing, and people don't always care for one reason or another.
I enjoy playing solo, but I have to say, Diablo Immortal made me join rifts with others, and it was often more enjoyable. They also encourged making clans with random players and joining leagues as well. I have no idea why D4 doesn''t incorporate these aspects. If they made D4 more like DI, I'd actually think I'd enjoy it more. The warcamp, although very minimal, was also a cool thing to add. The shadow battles vs whichever clan was best at the time was also cool.
I play Diablo WHEN I want a solo game. It is my solo game. I’ll never play it with people and this citadel feature will be a loss to me unless they add a solo function. If 85% of ur people play solo why would u force a group content in.
Who said they dont want their merc doing good damage? I loved my d2, PoD, PD2 mercs doing abojt my damage. Especially playing solo without having all the gear in the world since i played ssf. BUT i forgot that you will jave 19394448e8291p384urn38e number of uniques to choose from so i guess it makes sense?
I have no friends and also i play to just mindlesly grind when i want to shut my brain, when there's time.
Diablo at its core always seemed to be a single player game with multiplayer elements and canonically multiple heroes and not just one. If Diablo wanted to really take it to the next level, perhaps they can add class NPC's as a choice for certain things but then again, we have mercenaries so that may not work. It would be so cool though to have class NPC AI that are customizable and used for specific situations or missions according to their builds.
Not suprised Diablo was always single player, group play doesn't bring much to the game
I bought D4 on sale a few days before the release of the DLC and proceeded to buy that day 1.
Honestly, it surprised me how much fun i was having despite the flaws. The addition of a lot of decent QoL features helps.
Crashed my pc so bad I’m afraid to play the game
Honestly when d4 was announced i said to my friend i hope its just re skinned d3 with more content.
D4 BAD
D4 Devs are morons…it's an arpg not an mmorpg. There is ZERO dedicated classes to make group. DnD has been around for decades. How can you f*ck this up?
I haven't played D4 since Beta.
11:58 🤔 it's D3 now.
because Diablo 3 is better and worked, hopefully it gets better, still staying playing POE.
Ill do the raid…and go RIGHT back to single player essentially.
It sounds like Blizzard has decided what they really want to do is the casualization started in Diablo 3 and now that they have remade D2 they feel they can go ahead and do what they wanted to. No interest in taking the crown back from PoE or even getting second or third place. Just leaving the competition for hardcore arpg entirely. Well at least they made that clear. Which they said it sooner instead of stringing us along.
And they would've gotten away with it too, if it wasn't for you meddling kids
Was and always will be a single Player in diablo. I dont like the mmo aspect of it but still will be playing
Wu Kong was hot trash on ps5 on day one. Performance was so terrible I deleted it in 6 hours. The game was simped for because of culture war issues. I paid for the game and will gladly never download it again.
Looks like it is becoming D3? No, it is D3. Your footage looks exactly like its from D3. I cannot tell the difference between D4, DI, and D3. I cannot believe people fell for this.
raids will not change my opinion, I hate mmos I always played Diablo 1 & 2 because of the singleplayer and replay effect ,changing the "World" scenarios (not only dungeons) so I could have new ways playing, and building chars (not folowing a green number saying this is the best way for me…. if I want to make a barbarian with a lot of charisma let me win a fight playing jokes with the devil), the d4 story was good… d4 is better than d3 in story (not closer to D1 and 2), gameplay is d3, so I dont like it, and its not an rpg anymore, since D3 is more arcade, scenarios dont change, only dungeons (and very poorly)…. Blizzard give us OFFLINE Mode, the fact that 85% is solo shows what I always said, some people mocked when I said this game was a D3 with better art style and the multiplayer was to avoid piracy (like D3 with always online crap) and trying to get the MMO kids, but heres the thing, ARPG players like me dont like MMOs, if I want WOW I will go play it, and I dont… I dont like seeying players walking all carnivalesque around and doing crazy stuff, in a supposed area that has not many people, but is actualy crowded with players, loses immersion. the only justification to have the online for us playing solo is so we see the skins of other players so we go buy it (but since paid skins are ugly, more highfantasy, full neon glows, full plate for all classes, I have no interest… rogue with full plate armor, or sorcerer, wtf)
Having the pet salvage your loot would be awesome! That was one thing I loved about torchlight 2 😢. You were able to send your pet back to town to do all your errands so you wouldn’t have too 😝
I expected more like 90% of players to play solo.
It's totally expected. Diablo games aren't MMO's.
OFFLINE mode please
Why is a game that is played 85% of the time as solo forced online! Wtf. Who was behind that decision. On ps5 I have to purchase ps plus to even play by myself because of this
Why play as a group when you can never compete with your homie for damage? You never feel strong so there's not a lot of incentive to play as a group. Even with that knowledge the game is far too easy so you don't even need help to complete it. Playing solo is the closest you'll get to a challenging experience which isn't really saying much
well could of told you that one from the start its just the same game people must be boring now of days
Everyone that said that ABK would put improvements and overhauls behind a paywall (DLC) is laughing while shaking their head and facepalming. Even long before the expansion, I thought it looked more like D3 than D2 (ABK said it wanted the game to feel more like the latter). The devs probably realized that they weren't going to please the D2 fans, especially after basically quiet quitting D2R, so they just ran with it.
Awesome, finally the game will be funnier.
You comment that the D2 players have left D4, but you didn't comment on the fact that we were FORCED to leave D4 because they are turning it into D3.5. I don't agree that this is a good thing.
After buying my last game I will not purchase another game that I can not get a physical copy, guess I am too old school. So even if D4 gets better too me I will not be buying. Also I have never grouped through all my plays with Diablo 1 through 3 except when I tried to get some family members to play in D3, I am just solo centric even in my MMO play I probably solo 85 to 90 percent of the time even when I am in a guild. I will talk on guild channels and help if someone needs help but for the most part I solo (have played WoW thru SL, CoH still on the Homecoming server and have a ton of characters plus about 4 others in the past).
the second i saw them bring the wings back i figured they were heading there.
Lol. It has been Diablo 3 since day one.
"Monster scaling totally different now." Are you fucking kidding me? They litteraly just adjust the number in their excel sheet and its done. It doesnt matter whether its level 40, 80, or 2000 for all it matters, its always based on a number that the character has, which is the level, and they simply adjust the other shit accordingly. It's low effort change. Like seriously. Why do you kiss blizzards ass so much? Is that preparation for Rod Fergussons colonoscopy?.
"A whole different game now."
This is satire isn't it?
