So nice to be able to enjoy your library!
I always find it interesting that people who go to areas who go to these places but have no knowledge at all of any hauntings never see anything strange. Just people who know the old stories see things. I think it is all in their imaginations.
An of course The Wild Hunt plagued many of the Witcher 3's players.
Those Japanese crabs are definitely creepy. They do look like they have faces engraved on their shells.
An excellent compilation of ghostly inhabited areas, as I’d heard the Gettysburg stories from many sources, yet not any of the others. It’s quite sad that if indeed they are lost souls that were unable to help them find peace.
Always entertaining, Ty TPS!
I have a very unusual story. I live in Rural Washington state. One beautiful summer's day I was weeding my herb garden. I heard the most beautiful chimes or bells you can imagine. They were truly lovely sounds. My husband was nearby feeding our hens. I called him to herb garden and he came over.. he could not hear the chimes or bells at all. I did some research and asked a friend who is a pagan. He suggested it was the fairies/ nature spirits. One evening at sunset I went back out the exact place I heard the chimes. I told the nature spirits (as he suggested) that they were welcome in my garden and if they wanted to take some herbs blossoms and leaves, I would not mind. I meant them no harm. In the distance I heard a sound like horses running… and hunting horns. I again asked my friend and he suggested the wild hunt. I do not know. I see little sparks of copper or blue lights in my forest frequently, even before or during storms. I've never heard the chimes nor horses and horns again.
Culloden is still haunted by jacobites slain rhat day
About the Wild Hunt, I knew it was more of a German tradition: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wild_Hunt
Ghost
ridersarmies in the sky.You need to do Ukraine location
Ghost Riders in the Sky is supposed to be based on a cattle drive that was deliberately driven over a homestead completely destroying it and killing the family that lived there. The people involved all met early deaths and they were seen continuing their trail drive.
The Wild Hunt you say?
The Witcher 3 intensifies
Hail Odin

Eredin leads the Wild Hunt.
In the Witcher universe The Wild Hunt is also seen as spectral beings seen throughout time. However, in truth they’re Elves from another word that come through our world to hunt for the Child of The Elder-Blood. The Elves purposely wear black clad armour to scare those who may see them on their journeys.
Ive seen a bunch of cowboy ghosts chasing the devils herd. They all go .." Yippee kye yea! Yippee kye yooo" they're like ghosts who are ridding in the sky. True story
I love civil war ghost stories…anyone else?
These are videotapes. That replay
Yep leave it to a ignorant christan who believes in a pagan copycat deity to demonize a pagan god from a pagan religion that is by far older than christianity.
Imagine a haunted ww2 battefield.
Wait thats almost the entire world.
The fuck is this?
Anyone else notice the thumbnail looks like the zombies from origins? Or am I tripping?
anybody knows that wild hunt are elves from another dimension hunting down people and freezing villages. ref The Witcher 3 The wild Hunt.
You should read audio books.
I'm very surprised that you didn't mention surely the most famous "phantom army" – the one resulting from the Battle of Edgehill, the first battle in the English Civil War.
Ghostly re-enactments of the battle were seen in the sky above Edgehill for several months after the battle.

Quote – Ghostly Armies
The Battle of Edgehill didn't end when the smoke cleared and the dying had taken their final breath. In the weeks that followed, the terrible carnage was often heard and seen re-enacted. In the night sky above Edgehill, the phantoms of the fighting soldiers were observed by several very reliable witnesses. King Charles I, was so intrigued by the reports that he sent a Royal Commission to investigate. They too saw the ghastly spectacle and even recognised some of the protagonists, including Sir Edmund Verney, the King's standard bearer.
Incidentally, as a result of the Royal Commission's investigation, the Public Record Office *officially recognises* the Edgehill ghosts. They are the only British phantoms to have this distinction.

I have seen authentic and believable footage of the ghostly apparitions at Gettysburg, the videos are well worth watching.

Very interesting list. Though if ghosts were in fact real, id be up my ass in them, living where i am…
I wonder if there's any paranormal activity in Normandy France
I had a strange experience when visiting the site of the battle of New Orleans while on a school trip. I was walking alone along a path towards some of my friends about 100 yards away. Suddenly I started smelling burnt gunpowder. I didn't hear or see anything, but I could smell gunpowder.
Its so sad to see so many soldiers lost after dealth i hope they find peace and a purpose to move on into the light
Wonderful!
