The game before it Gungrave overdose on PS2 I liked more than this yet play and moves the exact same as the ps2 ones. Big issues with this one is its like 4 times as long as previous ones and the art stlye looks rather diffrent.
They changed how the upgrade system works ine ones before you got more moves just by playing now its use exp to learn moves of increase stats but i just fid stats instead of moves and could beat a Stage boss in like 20 seonds just standing still near end of game.
They is one level you play as a new character in but because they did not give them any projectile weapons you can not play them in any other stage yet gave them a them a decent move set.
This game feels like if they made it as a 360/PS3 early title but it got delayed 18+ years.
This video only exists because his missus said she wouldn't beat anymore games for him on his livestreams unless he played Gungrave G.O.R.E.

I really did like gungrave on the PS2, it was a fun blast that didn't outstay its welcome. This still looks class but it sounds like it may be a wee bit too long.
Still wanna give this a go at some point, mainly because, it knows exactly what it is but the length is a bit worrying lol.
