It seems this obviously humorous parody review from the obviously humorous parody review channel has rustled some jimmies. I remember no-lifeing the original when I was like 12-13 and really enjoyed it. It was great for it's time, but it shows it's age now. Some people can't take an extremely obvious joke.
Bought the game because of the overwhelmingly positive reviews and got very disappointed. I haven’t played any of the Metroid games and I think the people who are loving this game are real metroid fans that are having a nostalgic experience. It’s a big mistake on my end to play this after finishing returnal on the ps5 which is a game that borrowed a lot of elements from metroid prime but is very fast paced and action packed. Metroid prime remastered felt boring for me. The enemy types and design doesn’t excite or scare you. They all look like non threatening bugs. It felt like a puzzle/walking simulator for kids. Sorry to the fans but Call of Juarez gunslinger for only 2 dollars is much more fun in my opinion.
First time player here and I must say (as someone that played A LOT of Metroidvanias, and the 6 main games of the franchise) that this is the only one I will not be visiting again. The amount of backtracking is simply too much. And the artifacts fetch quest is unnecessary and kills the last third of the game.
Metal Arms: Glitch in the System
Got this for my kids to experience the 'Nest-all-gia' of it all. Picked it up a couple nights ago…hour later was inundated with questions of how far I got…flavored with frustrations that I got THAT far already. But really….which direction am I going again? Oh yeh, that's where I died by lava last time.
I acknowledge that these videos are not to be taken seriously as it is mainly parody. But this is just rather dissrespectful, not saying there is no room for critisism but if u are to make jokes at the expense of a beloved game u better make damn sure u are correct or understood it right. I read a great comment down here that said that it feels like this script was written by someone who played the game maybe 10 years ago and dint like it/get into it, and now they critizise that game based on hazy memories. Try to avoid using ur public platform based on parodying video games as ur personal venting device.

I didn't play the original Metroid Prime game and only decided to actually give it a shot when the remaster came out. I didn't have the benefit of nostalgia to bolster my enjoyment, but that didn't stop me from absolutely loving it. Ironically, I bought both Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal and couldn't get into them despite the favorable comparisons the video draws between them and Metroid Prime.
Ya know, I’m not in love with this game, as someone who’s relatively new to Metroid. But ya’ll are definitely over-hating it here.
