If Poe gameplay, mechanics and itemizations were in last epochs world and art style, it would be the ultimate arpg.
He’s right about D4, I loved D4 until I beat the campaign and I haven’t played since.

My issue with POE is how bland a character can look at level 80…
The biggest gripe I have with D4 is it just feels like too much content is too similar. The story is fun a few times around, beautiful cinematic experience, but ultimately it just feels the same all the time when you get to endgame.
That crucial “Diablo” feel/element that was born with D1, thrived in D2, was muted but still there in D3, just seems missing in D4.
This isn’t to say that D4 isn’t fun! I’ve had a blast playing all the different builds, but even after VoH release and the op Spiritborn, it just feels cheap, especially with all the micro transactions and even more specifically with the still broken couch co-op, which is, was, has been my primary gaming mode for around 25 or so years. At the end of the day, that “Diablo feel” is what kept many of us replaying all the previous Diablo games, so I hope D4 steers that way in the future, but won’t be surprised if other D-likes end up taking the crown.

PoE is a classless mess,where is no melee builds.great fking game….setting sucks too,items are ugly and not a lot of thought was put into them(you can see by how few stats are present on high-quality items).overall its a somewhat an indie game with a lot of chinese involvement too.i sincerely despise it ,for how low class of a game it is.ohh and I forgot PoE builds :those all look like a firework show with different colors and particles spamming crap around,this reminds of Median XL actually, same mess

I am playing diablo 4 because it's on gamepass… and it's predatory to buy the expansion. BAD blizzard. Second, just seeing players that are end game do trillions of damage, and yet there game hasn't changed since doing a couple thousand damage, just makes the scaling seem nonsensical to me. I 100% believe i can't play it anymore and i'm level 57. There's a few neat things I am sure I haven't seen. but this is just stupid. kill boss x. get item y. not good enough cause it has slow enemy damage. try again.
POE punishes you at end game by nerfing the shit out of your stats it can go to hell
D4 = awsome class mechanics, builds, and story campaign with very boring game/endgame mechanics.
POE = incredible arsenal of current+core game/endgame side-mechanics with boring class mechanics and campaign
The net result is that D4 is ultra-fun for the first run through on each of several classes, then falls flat for me. On the other hand, POE classes and builds are initially inaccesibly obtuse, then incredibly boring. (it took me probably 3 leagues and 7 characters before i even made it to Kitava, way too slowly) After trying several classes and enjoying none of them, I installed Path of Building, watched some speedrunners, and started ignoring the class-mechanics and story to enjoy the incredible core+forever league mechanics, my favorites being Heist, Delirium, Kingsmarch, and Delve. I still have never made it to max-level in POE to experience mapping, because the turbo-easy zoom-zoom gameplay loop of facerolling enemies using three fingers and 5% attention and my too-slow approach to the campaign literally causes me to fall asleep at the keyboard before I can ever make it to level cap…. AND YET, i've enjoyed 3-5x more hours of gameplay in POE than D3+D4 combined. Maybe I'm still on the upswing of the PoE curve and just have not reached the crossover point yet.
I'm seriously hoping PoE2 delivers not only more challenging gameplay, but also stops my outscaling enemies from draining all challenge and fun from the game. (my favorite recent ARPG progressioon gameplay is VRising brutal .. but no endgame)
poe sucks for casuals like me, oh look, gotta make a new character again, having to go trough all these acts, again…
last epoch from making new char to getting into end game is 2 days max.

Hope that LE will get big exciting endgame updates! My biggest wish is to be able to compete with other players with some sort of PVE as well! Like in Warframe!

The only advantage of poe is being a f2p game. That's it.
For me PoE was way higher on the fun axis from the get go, and there is no dip, and it just skyrockets and goes up and up. D4 was fun at the tutorial but i really wasnt having fun with it at any point.

Diablo 4 has been the best for me since release, still fun for me and i dont feel im left behind on anything.
I tried poe but its just not for me as i have no time for it + it wasn't fun, im played games to have fun, if the get go is not fun then its not for me. Thats why poe is good for those who likes to read books spreadsheet all these details and have their fun later in game but for me its impossible.
Hardcore player can achieve hes fun faster then i can because i wont have the same amount of time to play if we compared might take me years to reach the point of fun on poe that's why i dont like it.
I respect the game and the players but sadly i feel i get harassed online from many poe players pointing fingers at me for playing diablo or just reading or hearing people complaint alot about diablo. As poe wilson said the game is not beginner friendly and is not for everyone. D4 is the same for the hardcore gamers. But i dont see d4 players complaining same way or bash on poe players like poe players does. The polite and respect is out of hand.

D4 is the worst campaign in the series, do you remember the girl's name who left with Mephisto in the end? I'm not.
But I remember Leah from Diablo 3.
And I remember Dark Wanderer (Aidan) and Marius from Diablo 2.
I have play all 3 of them, I am actually still play them currently. Path of exile is the best when it comes to character customization and building your skill tree, Diablo 4 is the most well designed in terms of visuals and sound, Last Epoch is in my opinion overall a bit lesser of a game overall but it still pretty fun.

I played PoE for well over 1000 hours, but my enjoyment still fell of a cliff!
For one I don't like the super fast zoomy playstyle and the continous spamming of one skill. In the endgame it makes it hard to see what you are doing at times – most certainly in group play. And getting oneshotted happends way to often – even on tanky characters.
I also think the game got cluttered with tedious mechanics that you all need to know in order to make the most out of your build and time. Moreover, I find Syndicate and Heist pretty dull and childisch.
