Our cat just constantly wants to go outside and she‘s not eating. I’m pretty sure that some else is feeding her and I’m really not happy with that.
I use the tube treat as jackpot for nail trimming. Challenge line started with give me paw for a lick. See the trimmer and get a lick. Etc… Now it’s 1 nail for 1 lick.
I can even trim both my cats’ nails while they’re in the same room.
And I use freeze dried or crunchy cat treats for learning tricks.
Jackpot treats really do work as Jackson says
Jackson, thank you for your videos, Could you talk about that people that inject water in the cats mouth, when they don't have a good fluid intake?!!!!……….They are inserting water in the cats lungs!!!!
I’m gonna copy and paste this on a couple videos probably for hopeful chance of response by Jackson
I’ve got a cat in my house in my SO’s room. It hisses at me, bats at me when I walk near it, etcetera. It will actively approach me to sniff and check me out, then hiss at me like I did something wrong by letting it approach. Sometimes batting. We’ve added some more stuff into the room (haven’t extended beyond the room due to other animals in the house requiring proper introductions) and I’ve taken to just swapping rooms with the SO so that I’m sleeping in the same room as their cat. They’ve even slept on me a few times now, but they still run from me, hiss, bat, approach then hiss, not sure what to do at this point. He tolerates eating near me as well, I just chill nearby and let him do his thing.
My precious orange tabby has been the best thing I adopted from an animal shelter! He was said to be the shyest out of his siblings. He was when he first got home, but a few days of play, space, food and now he plays with his toys and cuddles in my lap or on my chest. I made sure I bought everything before I got him: toys, scratch posts, food, etc.
When can we expect these products in Canada?
I’ve had my baby girl for a little over a month now and we’re still getting to know each other. She is very food driven so hopefully I can get some of her behavior corrected through with positive reinforcement.
were definitely more like the calm one on here haha, out orange tabby just loves his treats and j need to know what i fsn make him do for it so he doesn't get fat, he's lazy and doesnt want to play
So, we decided to get a second cat. our first was 4 years old at the time. WE went throguh the slow gradual introduction until the older was fine as long as she was left alone even with the other cat nearby. in the meantime, the other cat learned that to show people you love them, you climb on top of them and rub faces together. cause that's what she does with her humans. WE had a small relapse when the young cat got sterilized, but once that was over, the young cat decided she really wanted the older cat to start liking her, so she is now applying her how to cuddle humans skills, to the older cat, who is ofcourse not happy with a young terror on top of her and rubbing faces together. They'll figure this out eventually. I've already seen them sharing a box to hide from the fireworks together. They'll get there.
The young cat challenges the older one to gradually allow more interaction while the older one teaches the younger how she likes to be interacted with. matter of time until they get it right.
A few months before we got the second cat we moved, and that was scary at first, but the older cat is a natural explorer, so, once i talked her out from behind the laundry machine, just by sitting there and talking to her for half an hour, she proudly went exploring the new place. quickly found her litter and food and water, which were all grouped in one room together so that she didnt have to claim everything all at once (but she did anyway, sticking close to me everywhere i went in the place). Then when it got late she went looking for my husband, who i got on the phone for her. she came running quickly and happily settled on the couch (old furniture would come the next day, but we'd had some replacement furniture delivered to the new place) with me for the night.
We do have the major benefit that both our cats are very strngly bonded to us, and genuinely hate being in a room we're not, so even hiding under the bed is an "only when they sleep above us" activity
I have a siamese with anxiety. Between pheramone collars and jackson galaxy solutions he is better. I must constantly give him encouragement and extra love or he will still spend a lot of time in his carrier sleepihg. All i have to do when i notice he is missing a while is go in and talk to him And rub him and he will come out to be with the rest of us (me and three other cats) in his three and a half years he has gotten better and better. He tries new things frequently now, and he is also my little timekeeper. He lets me know when its breakfast and dinner. He still has anxiety and we still work on it every day but he has a full, meaningful, life now.
5:12. YEAH PEOPLE! STOP WATCHING AND PLAY WITH YOUR CAT!!!!!!
Can vouch for a lot of this. Tim was so nervous when I first got him that he wouldn't eat and wouldn't come out from behind the dresser. He wouldn't even sleep. Now he's such a chatty boi and he rubs up against me and gives me little morning hongi and demands play time every morning and evening. Yesterday he came and slept on my lap. ❤❤❤
This is the funniest video I’ve ever seen!
Team Cat Mojo!
Just got a seventh month old Turkish Domestic mix. This video is perfect.
My cat just turned one recently and he's a spoiled brat sometimes lol, but I love him
When I brought my black cat lucifer home when he was 14weeks, he went straight under the couch where he stayed a couple of hours and meowed so loud i though he was in the hallway sometimes. I let him be but checked up on him regularly. I had his food bowls in the kitchen so he had to pass the bedroom go through the hallway to get to the kitchen. Which he did but he retreated to under the couch a couple of times that day. That evening he was sitting in the couch beside my ex partner (we were and are still friends) but any sudden movement he went under the couch. It took till the second night he was here to jump up in my bed and lay beside me and now almost 2 years later Im one of two ppl he trusts and arent afraid of, the second is my ex. Any other ppl he runs away from and hides from in one of his many safe places he has, one is a chair under a table, one is in his cat tree in the living room and a third in my bedroom.
It sometimes takes time for the cat and human to get used to each other but its beautiful when it happens ❤
After my cat Pars went into heat, my other cat, Han, who is one year older than him, started to be afraid of him and run around the house. When he sees Pars, he hisses and runs away. He spends all 24 hours on top of the refrigerator. When he comes down, he rushes between rooms as if someone is chasing him, and then he goes back to the refrigerator. Will neutering Pars improve their relationship? They used to play together, but now they can’t be near each other. After seeing him, Han goes to his own area, but he constantly scratches and licks himself. What should I do to make them go back to how they were? Thank you <3
I love this!
Everytime and every day when i come home my cat comes running to the front door to meet me, when he sees me he runs away from me but to the cat tree to scratch and stretch out wanting to get petted. Every day when he hears or sees me pulling out one of the drawers where i have his brush he runs away from me but to the same place on the sofa where i always brush him and he never wants me to stop. I think it's a bit funny that he runs away from me so often but for a good reason and always seems so excited about those things 😂❤
or in my case, find your cat as a kitten on a roof after his mom abandoned him, bring him home, bottle feed him and raise him and he'll be your best buddy lol
👍
Theres a reason for the phrase "scaredy cat". Be calm and kind with cats. And pay attention to the level they are comfortable playing.
My almost a year old cat keeps scratching the blinds of my windows. If they are open, he’ll do it, if they are closed he’ll do it and if I pull them up he’ll just scratch the window. There’s a balcony behind the window where we’ll occationally go so he probably wants there, but it’s way too cold to constantly keep the door open. The thing is the blinds are starting to break and if the windows are gonna get scratch marks on them my landlord will kill me. I also can’t sleep while the cat is doing this so I’m super tired. We have other issues but this one is the worst. To be honest I’m starting to fantasize giving this cat to the nearest stranger just to feel peace again. I feel like I have zero tools to make him stop and I’m just so exhausted of crying over this in the middle of night. If anyone happens to read this, any tips will be appreciated before I lose the rest of my sanity.
Our youngest kitty was acting aggressive towards us when he first came home at the age of 3 mths. Ziggy wasn’t a mean cat but he just decided to attack us in bed and really put in some effort to hurt us, and I wasn’t able to just calm him down with soft words or cuddles. So then I remembered what my husband often say about training dogs, that you have to establish the understanding that the human is in charge and the dog isn’t the boss, and I thought that I might as well try it out on Ziggy who at the time was trying to bite my hand off. Anyway, I grabbed Ziggy by the scruff of his neck and held him down on the bed, and told him that I would not let him get up until he calmed down. The next 10-15 minutes was insane, it was almost like performing an exorcism because Ziggy let out all these unholy shrieks and struggled madly with the strength of a fully grown cat, to the point that my husband got concerned and asked if he was ok. Of course he was ok, he was just having this massive tantrum and I just kept holding him down and telling him to stop being so aggressive at us. In the end Ziggy tired himself out and realised that I was indeed bigger and stronger than him, and so he accepted that we were the bosses at home. It has been 3 years since that eventful night, and Ziggy has been civil ever since, he would greet us by wrapping his tail around our legs and never attacked or bit anyone again, and if he wants to play rough and tumble he’d seek out one of his cat siblings.
I'll never forget the first day with my boy. Rescued from the street, in poor condition, with fiv, having xxy chromosomes.
First thing, he tried to escape, but having prevented this, I settled down on the couch, snd he quickly joined me. Within half an hour, he was lying on his back in the crook of my arm, with a giant smiley face.
That guy suddenly realised he was safe, as an indoor cat.
My female cat chases my other female cat and bully’s her. This behavior is not normal for them. I need help
You know, maybe I'm just lucky, but I've had many cats throughout my life and not a single one of them has ever been difficult or misbehaved 😂
Would putting a litter box near the HVAC closet cause a cat to stop using the box?
that skit was so good lmao
How should I use the drops? should I put them in my cats water, feed them in a spoon, set a humidifier with them? My cat gets stressed easily and I would like to try the drops and see if they helps calm her down
Hilarious! And all great points. Thank you!
Guys I need help. I have a 7 year old male scottish fold (neutered and perfectly healthy) he's really the perfect cat (never a damage in the house and he's so sweet and calm) but there's only one thing. He poops on the floor most of the times (it's extremely rare to see poop in his litterboxes). Precisely in front or on the sides of my wc toilet (the litterbox is in the bathroom in front of the wc). Someone told me to buy another litterbox because cats prefer to ideally do their thing in separated places in nature and some cats are really picky about it) so I bought a second litterbox and I put it exactly where he poops. NOTHING. He use the other litterbox to pee and he poops on the floor. I tried to understand the reason but I can assure he has nothing to complain. I'm always with him, he's never alone, he got quality food, quality water, cuddles, he sleeps with me on the bed, I immediately clean his litterboxes but he doesn't stop pooping on the floor…One day I went out for less than an hour and he pooped in front of the main entrance door of the apartment so I splattered it over the entrance's pavement. Please help me understand what might be the reason…I'm in for any question if you need more details.
I’m so exited cause I’m getting a cat soon and I’m binge watching your videos
It smells like sardines and I'm gonna gag 😂
You put the food outside and away from the bed and then leave them alone.
If they want to eat, they will. They might do it when no one is looking and that is okay.
It gets them out from under the bed and it gets them fed.
Let them decide what they are ready to do! They are smart, smarter than most humans, the know what they need.
Encouragement is fine, it helps toward a goal, but basically leave them be until they are ready, if ever, to change.
You’re kind of rambling on this one didn’t really get to the point until we’ll into 6 minutes seems like you just trying to get to your sales pitch. Not sure I really got much out of this.
This guy is just so pure with his honest to goodness love for cats
I had a revelation recently about my formerly feral cat. I realized that she had so little close experience previously with people that she didn’t really even distinguish types of touch, tone of voice or pleasant interaction until several years into our relationship. We assume cats understand the intention of “good kitty” said in a soft or loving tone. But it was all just words to her. Now she enjoys touch, seeks closeness and attends to my tone of voice, but it took a few years and lots of repetition.
