I love cats
I have 4 cats (nearly identical Tuxedos) all from the same litter, and Legion or Lee as i prefer to call him is the nibbler. He is the only one that will bite you to get your attention, and/or to show you love. None of my other cats do it only my EEEE baby. Lol
I get love bites from an older cat that I adopted at 8 1/2 years old. How can I break her of this habit?
I think my cat is love biting me but sometimes the bites are pretty hard? Could it be he doesn’t know how hard he’s biting?

My cat is 2 years old and she still nibbles on my hand when I play with her I don’t mind at all she has never bit me it’s all fun and games to her and me 😂😂😂😂
My favourite usually only bites when she's wound up or I grab her tail or one of her hind legs. And she can get so wound up, she tears across my room and goes under my bed in a flash, she's just too funny. Only once did she hurt me at all in biting me.

I have very similar situation but with a ferral cat I am trying to adopt. He himself rubs himself around me to the point of aggression. After several very snug rubs he starts hissing and occasionally claws me. Now he never really clawed me full on but few blows did leave a puncture mark. I am trying to understand how to calm him when he gets into this mode. When I want to leave to give him space he chase me and tried to wrap his very sharp claws around my leg to stop me from leaving. We can sit for hours and he loves my company but the minute I try to leave he goes nuts. Any suggestions? I want to take him home but I have 2 cats and dogs and scared he will get really stressed out. Working on introducing clan to him slowly with scents and sounds. He also needs to be neutered and that alone might be an issue. Any advice appreciated! Love your love for cats!!!❤

My 3year old rescue cat does this but I don't rub him head to tail, he runs his face on me whilst I'm scrolling , everything he gets close enough I pucker up to kiss his cheek, he gets so excited for my affection he rubs and rubs his face purrs loud, gently nips by nose and flops next to my face and starts grooming himself.

I know pet agression, how about biting you because they love it and puring. My boy loves to love bite me and my nose and hand. He is puring amd sometimes druels on me. It hurts 😅. No patting he will even grab at me with his paws. Oh and i have had him since 2011, he isnt a little kitty anymore.

My male and female cat at 1 year old nibble …sign of love…also throwing their tummy in the air when you arrive is love and attention…sorry but very wrong…. a nibble doesn't get worse…. unless you're being annoying or aggressive.
My cat is 4 she gives love bites I think what it is. She ask for food when it is right in front of her I tell her to go eat it and I guess she doesn’t like that. She talks away the I am doing something then she gives me that little bit. My cat encourages that type of behavior. She’ll get up on me and my wife’s bed (I don’t know if I’m saying that properly) and swat at me as I play peek a boo with her. I’ll reach out like I’m going to pet her and she does a little love nibble. This will repeat over and over if I let it so I don’t know if she truly is overstimulated (because she initiates the play) or if that’s just a way she interacts with me. She only does it to me. I think it’s because I’m the one that really plays with her. My wife does play with her but if I’m home she’ll bring me her toys to play with her. Sometimes at 3 a.m. but that doesn’t happen that often. It’s the sweetest thing. Anyone got an answer as to what’s going on?

In large cats(tigers lions etc) letting the human hold their teeth is called mouthing affection, I wouldn't be surprised if house cats still had this behavior, after all we got house cats from large cats that were domesticated and bred to be smaller
What about cats that are older? I have 2 cats, both 6 years old. They are siblings I adopted from a feral mother. Only one of them starts biting after rubbing themselves on me. The other has never tried to bite. Is it just over-stimulation even though I've done nothing to make him overstimulated? He nibbles my hand as soon as he sees it.

Not going to argue with the cat guru ..but I pet the cat head to tail…and her play style is to ambush and bite…it never hurts..it's never even more than an irritant with her sharp teeth.. just her behavior..I don't discourage this because she seems to enjoy the interaction. I play spider fingers hopping on the couch and she jumps.. and bites but never hard.
