Dinosaurs lived on earth for some 140,000,000 years. If not for the asteroid that wiped them out we would not have evolved and the dinosaurs would likely still be here ruling the earth. The chances of humans evolving into what we are must be trillions to one. Intelligent species? We spend more money on war than we do on science, more money kill each other in ever larger numbers. IF there is alien life out there and the chances are probably also trillions to one and properly civilized I doubt they would want to come anywhere near us warmongering savages.
