Gameranx really has a bias against certain types of games. In his opinion a game is only good if it's fast-paced action or something. Things that are slow are boring, and those that are cute or ecchi are "cringe". But I'd choose those slow and cute/ecchi games over mindless fast-paced shooters all the time.
