Well they are basically carnivores so you have to worry that there are no or very few carbohydrates and chemicals in their food to keep them healthy and I agree they need wet food for hydration, I pretty much agree with all the topics in the video in general.

Felines are obligate carnivals. Dry food is very bad for their kidneys. Remember what they eat naturally. Warm mammals, insects, and birds I only feed mine wet food and a few dry treats daily. They need a fresh water fountain. Meowsome/Perrrfect.

I believe dry cat foods are also higher in phosphorus, which can lead to chronic disease CKD. I would appreciate a Vet coming on here to confirm this. But this is what I was told YEARS after several of my cats were diagnosed. The Vet said stop feeding them the dry food, and gently clean their teeth and provide fresh filtered water.

Dry food does NOT clean teeth. It’s filled with to much carbs as well as other ingredients that actually helps build plac and tarter. Even vets are telling owners that hard food does NOT clean teeth. If you don’t feel safe feeding bones then brush their teeth.

Thank you for saying the one about dry food. My Fiance just refuses to buy wet food! We argue about it all the time! I buy all of the wet food. He'll but the dry food, but not wet. Strangely though one of our cats loves the wet food and the other hardly touches it.
They play differently too. One of them loves it if you give her a toy to play with and just kind of pet her while she plays. The other cat loves cat wands and playing fetch.

Good video. The title is a little over the top. I understand it is to get people to watch. Certainly don't keep toxic plants in the house. But leaving a cat alone for a few hours isn't going to hurt them. My cats jump into the kid's toy box and pull out toys to play with. Hunting and playing at the same time.

One note I want to make: My cat, Baker, will eat any and every leaf from any plant he can get to. I wanted to get a plant that was just his that I could get him leaves from so last summer I got him his very own spider plant. The leaves are long and skinny so perfect for kitty nibblings. According to the ASPCA spider plants are considered safe and nontoxic which is why I specifically went for that plant.
